Some Facts.......Not media spin.

After 2 rounds the Wests Tigers are:

4th in posession %
1st in line engaged
5th in line breaks
3rd in tackle breaks
2nd in all metres.
2nd in all runs.
3rd in dummy half runs
1st in offloads.

The only category we lag in is putting the ball down over the line.
We also are last in mental toughness of supporters who've been sucked in to a media narrative.
They are good signs to be up there with top teams in these stats but the one thing we lack big time is execution
We seem to not be able to put the cherry on top with a try

It would prove nothing. To evaluate performance you would have to evaluate the quality of the sides in which he played. As we can see in this breakdown, the performance of a half is directly linked to the quality of the side he is in.
I agree.
It’s more that it’s unfair to blame Brooks for the past 10 years of failure when you’d probably find his win ratio / games available during that time would be better than the win ratio / of games with him unavailable during that same period.

Since Brooks debuted, he's played 191 games.
We won 73 of those games, which gives him a 38% win rate over his career.

In that same time period, Brooks has missed 26 games through injury, suspension etc.
We won 6 of those games, which is a 23% win rate.

Hope this doesn't rile everyone up too much 😂 😂

Nah - it just proves the Brooks is the sole problem is wrong.

a change in coach and style is always going to result in a team taking time to adjust. that is exactly what is going on here. the dropped balls, uncertainty in the red zone and poor decision making are all symptoms of a change in style. the longer this season goes on, the better we'll be as confidence and combinations build, the players learn their roles and the passes stick.

we're not as far off as some suggest. i'm not banking on us storming into the 8 or anything like that, but we will turn this around.

I was more suggesting how a player's team/club is travelling also plays a vital part in this too, especially a low performing one.
Jackson Hastings had a winning percentage of 25% at the Wests Tigers.
Not sure what his winning percentage was here but Moses Mbye is at 45%, and he has managed to play 4 NRL Finals, elsewhere.
Adam Douiehi 40.96% (overall) though it was above 60% with the Rabbitohs.

Brooks is often compared to Brodie Croft who has a 52.31% winning rate...that's 2.1% less than Thurston, who's the game greatest halfback IMO...but that is mostly due to his time in Melbourne. (Which peaked at 81.82% in 2019). He didn't exactly lead them to victory during those instances but rather played a role in a very good team, at an elite club.
😊 I was just joking @Lauren

It's like a paradox. Like Cronk was great because he had Cronk in his team....

I agree Jr, I might be completely deluded
but I genuinely believe that once we get
it together and things start clicking we
can go on a little run and string a few
back 2 back wins together. Those 2
loses were bitterly disappointing but
I've seen enough of the meat & potato
stuff backed up by some of those stats
in OP's post to suggest we're not far off

He's not a halfback but Dally M Winner
Jack Wighton is at 49.55% from 222 appearances.

From what I could find, this fella had the lowest win rate.
Darrell Trindall 33.33%

Other Halfbacks:
Ashley Taylor 37.00 from 116 appearances.
Mitch Moses 49.50 from 200 appearances.
Ben Hunt 52.23 from 291 appearances.
DCE 53.52
Townsend 53.64 from 220 appearances.
Thurston 55.11
Johns 61.85
Cleary 69.06 from 139 appearances.
Cronk 70.97
What is the percentage of each of those players losing games when their opposition was badly affected by injury and/or men down due to penalties?
I think our boy would be a clear loser.

All that says is we're making metres. Don't see how we can be near top in tackle breaks or line breaks considering we've had maybe 3-4 line breaks all season and other teams have scored heaps more than us. We are last in supports, last in line engagements, last in line breaks. We haven't threatened the line at all because everything we do is in super slow motion, one out, with no one running decoys or potential support players in motion. Its slow, one dimensional easy to defend rubbish, no matter what fabrications have been made in stats
