Doueihi is the WEAKEST LINK

Really disappointed in AD today. Last week his lack of effort was unacceptable but this week he had both, lack of effort as well as multiple costly errors. Directly responsible for their first try with a pathetic attempt at D then threw 2 intercept shockers - 18 points thank you very much. His attempt on Burton at fullback was so weak as well.
We looked better with Wakeham at half and Brooks at 5/8.
Brooks threw 2-3 poor passes behind the runner and missed a couple of tackles on their new ex Manly edge runner who played well. But he still dug deep and did some good things as well.
Must say though, once again we had no enthusiasm for the first 60mins of that game. They ran harder, stood deep in A and ran onto the ball. Our line speed was non existent allowing easy metres. Again no pushing up with Api or the first receiver. Every now and then we played with momentum and made good yardage but that needs to happen for 80 mins.
Thought Klemmer second half was great and although Twal gets bagged you can’t deny his work rate or willingness to have a run.
Our run metres from our back 5 were probably half theirs - not good enough.

Yeah, he is really turning into a complete phony and poser… look at Sualii. Similar sort of athletic gifts as douhei but sualii just tries his heart out in attack and defence whenever he is near the ball at all… seems Adam likes the perks of the NRL but refuses to commit his body to the tackle or the contest at all..it’s infuriating

Yeh I've never really got into Brooks but he's part of the problem as well. Heard Roach talk about Brooks running game yesterday. So sick of hearing it. No point being a good runner of you run sideways and don't do anything with it.

Don't get me started on his grubbers. He's the worst in the NRL 10m out from the line.
 
I think Doueihi is just out of position. Put him in the centres, competing for the high kicks, and he'll go alright.

But we still need an organising, fast-thinking halfback. Brooks seems to get flustered and doesn't make the right choices (gets caught on tackle 6 which is mindblowing for a half), yet when he plays off the cuff he goes well. Probably should be 5/8th or second receiver.

Is Wakeham the answer? Maybe in the short term. If we happened to snag Moses things will get really interesting.
 
Love Tupou's work in the Brooks' try, thoroughly enjoyed watching big Naden sprint away for a try and also break the tackle for the Pole try, enjoyed Pole backing up and the interchange of passes between Wakeham and Brooks on the left side. Charlie Stains at full flight under the posts was great to watch. The combination with Koroisau will come, he is a fine leader. Bateman had a great game in the heat and extra mention for Kepaoa, who keeps performing.
 
AD trying to hard,
Brooks wouldn't be in the No7 at any other club in the NRL.
The new Sheens / Marshall scheme has this improved roster playing like wooden spooners.
 
The fact that Douhie and Brooks are still being used when we have had multiple opportunities to completely reshape the spine is beyond any logical explanation.

Wests Tigers will never ever be successful or threaten other teams with one of these players in the team let alone both as a halves pairing combination.

When you picture a successful team and ask yourself if you can ever see these 2 players guiding a team to lifting a premiership trophy nobody with even half a brain would think its possible.

They should both be stood down, punted or made to mow lawns.

I am beginning to question if something more sinister than tanking is taking place to deliberately determine outcomes of games.
 
He seems like he doesn’t care one way or the other , all our runners are so flat outside AD , he must not be setting them up at all , he really seems like he has spat the dummy out , maybe because he only got one year

He is tough - he can use his shoulder in the tackle - he has genuine pace - and he is not an ego-driven overrated bum!

Brooks is not the best 7 in the game - but nor is he the worst!

Brooks is the worst halfback in the game. Doueihi is the worst 5/8 in the game. I'm sorry but this is reality at this point.
