Which is insane if you play it out in your head. They identified halves is an issue. Got rid of Hastings, tried AD and now BW is the answer with brooks for 2023. Also, we are assuming they looked at Pearce after Hastings was gone. What is they inquired before he left and still let him go a season early.

I’m not a fan of Pearce if it’s for 24-25 but if it’s this year and next why not?
Have we all missed Brooks throwing bullets at peoples head or a metre behind them, a Band-Aid fix is probably what’s needed with the rubbish our halves have been dishing up for years.

it makes sense he enquired about Pearce to play 7 pushing Brooks to 6

This club has no idea what they’re doing. Had they played Hastings at 7 like they should have from the start we wouldn’t be making these desperate decisions.

Hastings wouldn't have been the answer either IMO. He isn't setting the world on fire this season at the Knights.

But he was signed for this year. If the brains trust identified the halves was an issue why let someone go if your plan b is to play AD? Makes no sense. They didn’t need the $$$$. The klemmer clause is just some made up fact Brooks fan boys made up on here with no evidence. Even the “ Bateman hates Hastings” rumor was started by the same two guys here.

I’m all for getting rid of Hastings if they 100% signed Moses makes sense. Having your backup option be AD, Rookie or a 34 year old is just brain dead. The club gave up on this season before it started.

Where are all the long term options then? There are none that are off contract and slim pickings for next year.

Signing a stop gap option is probably the only choice till we either develop one or have a chance to sign one.
