Wakeham is void of a the run, draw defence in and pass play that all the 7s are doing these days. Brooks does it better than him.

Find Wakeham likes to sit back in attack. Great defender tho.

Don’t disagree re the cash however we actually don’t have a cap shortage issue. We have millions to spend and plenty of roster spots for next year more the year after. Let’s see how they fill them.

Seyfarth, James, Fainu & Tuki if they are in 1st grade we are in trouble & look like a team running last.

I know we dont' have a cap shortage, but we have a talent shortage.

And to get the talent we have to pay more than any other club....

That would definiltey be one of the worst halves pairings in our history. Diabolical idea.

If Brooks is wearing 7 in round one next year we should just forfeit the season because obviously we're not even trying. He's not a halfback, he's a fringe first grade level 5/8 at best.

We need to sign 2 halves for next season, and then if there's room and he still wants a crack he can sign as a squaddie for a couple hundred k with expectations of playing nsw cup

Spot on. He doesn't go near the defence.

What is the coaching staff doing about this.

If he doesn't play direct, draw and pass them why is he in the team?

I'm not sold on Schuster as a 6 and would prefer Brooks as a 6 .

Townsend as a 7 Brooks as a 6 I think getting townsend out of Townsville might be a chance back to Sydney

I'm totally with you. There are so few options. When I state I don't like it the next question is who is better ? I don't have the answer to this.

Brooks to me is a no brainer assuming they can get him. He is a decent NRL half and has shown plenty of really good plays this year. He has very few downsides to his game.

In stating that Brooks isn't a marquee half and ideally we need one.

None of those options appeal to me. Maybe Townsend and then one of those players as a back-up. I think we need more options in the halves as well but that has it's limitations. Hastings gave us another option last year but he wasn't a good enough option to really improve us.

It's a really tough market and a really tough situation.

Exactly and that is the only reason our cap is in good shape, nobody of any real quality wants to jump on board and eat from our cap

Not even NRL standards needed. Just live near the COE and you’ll get a contract.

The problem with Schuster is that he is so risky. Will he come and train his backside off ? Will he work on his game ? Will he play to a high level consistently ?

I'm not really concerned with someone leading us around. We just need more guys in the team who can create. Schuster can do that but I'm worried he is going to be hot and cold.
