Given we had enough cash for Mitch, there has to be more of a reason than front-loading to let offa go. If we're not signing someone decent, I would be very surprised.

I bet we are paying part of his salary for the next two years so how the hell is that helpingIMO it’s not about this year. It’s about freeing up his $650k in 2024 and 2025, freeing up a top 30 roster spot and providing a clear path into the top 17 for a young player in the future, presumably Chris Fa’agutu.
We don’t need anything in return from Parra because the club is happy with the above.
I’m not saying it’s right or wrong but I believe that’s the club’s thought process. Sheens has always been very good at providing a clear pathway to bring junior talent through to first grade.
I very much doubt that. They came to us. We weren’t looking to offload himI bet we are paying part of his salary for the next two years so how the hell is that helping

I'm all for that, but Joe still has a lot to offer - he brought experience, leadership and passion to the club. As others have pointed out, he was one of the few shining lights in the absolute garbage we were served up last year. Last weekend also really seemed like a return to form for him.IMO it’s not about this year. The pathways references are oversold. It's not unique to us most clubs have junior pathways that they have to manage but not at the expense of their FG side mid season.
I would hope Joe O would be seen as being more valuable to us, than freeing up a pathway for a possible. If not we deserve to remain camped at the bottom of the table.
Have to agree this is poor unless we grab an absolute great deal on another player , he was good for the team , the boys and played well , not his fault his coat was high that’s on the club for doing shit dealsMy thoughts exactly.... We better be getting someone better in return...
Hoping asitasi James gets a crack at the top grade to see if we have made the right choice
James is a mile behind BloreHoping asitasi James gets a crack at the top grade to see if we have made the right choice
A huge proportion of what this club does off field defies logic. Has for a long time.we all agree it’s distasteful … but they still did it?
What gives?
It just defies logic
