Not rubbish, Brooks has been a handbrake for this side for donkey years. Can't control a game, can't communicate, Cogger has already shown more upsides than captain hand break. But Brooks did win a Dally M haha.

Yes it’s very logical to play three quarters of the year with less players than you are actually allowed, when you came last. FFS.

Second month - Our forwards started to lay a platform but we lacked finishing touches.
Third month - great wins against Penrith and NQ and you could see steady progress of young players.

Why then did management intervene with a power play when you could see the trendline upwards? I honestly don’t trust them.

I can’t wait for him to leave and have success, to stick it up all the knockers and total tossers within the club who happily made him the scapegoat all these years.

Hate to tell you this champ but it won't happen. He should go to the Super League where you can be dogshit and excel, he is poo and has proven it consistently now for nearly a decade. Face the facts, he has no one to blame but himself.

He wanted to go to Newy on a multi year deal for probably more money than what we have offered him.

It was our fault prioritizing him over Hastings.

This is the best outcome atm.

One option he leaves and good luck to him hope he kills it.

Another is we sign him for maybe more than our current offer but no where near the million that others thought we might be silly enough to do.

I just watched the 360 segment (I know) about Brooks and they all thought our offer for Brooks was about his true worth. So we can all stop arguing about his salary the rugby league oracles have spoken

Funnily enough i just watched that clip, he wasnt wrong though if you're paid an elite salary you expect elite results. They just arent there simple as that, if he was retained as a 6 with a proper half next to him he'd be good i reckon $600 is where i see his stocks. Clubs arent exactly busting the doors down to get him, he's either overplayed his hand or he's playing a blinder we wait and see now.

I certainly do not trust our management and i have been saying for many years the entire system and current structure needs to go.I would hate to have a heartbeat with the same trendline that Sheens has given us as i am trying to avoid climbing into a box in the near future

Brooks value has nothing to do with his ability. It’s all about how badly a club needs him and at present our six and seven stocks are diabolical for next year. So unless the club has something stitched up for next year, I would imagine there will be another offer. Although I think he will walk if he gets a offer close to ours.
