Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Fulton will struggle to sign anyone noteworthy this year or next…stories from players who exit the club (Joffa, Gildart, Matterson)…carry a lot of weight with managers and players and anyone approached to sign they want nothing to do with this joint….
The Joffa story imo is actually not as bad as alot of people might assume. His complaint is he stated he wanted to stay, if the club was a lost cause he would want to leave. Players today know the business of league I don't think it will stop anyone signing.

Douhei needs his own Full time Tackling coach . 24-7 .. perhaps a coach to work on motivation as well,, inspiring Adam to put his body on the line in a contact sport Adam seems to not like the contact aspect , sadly .. Adam has all the skills of a really good winger .. In the air, tall and likes to score ,, but is maybe a touch slow to be a top flight winger .. has the passing game of a winger also ..

“Touch slow” lol…

Thanks for the laugh Ned

- WT are apparently front runners for Latu and Samuela Fainu, after Latu was given permission to look elsewhere for 2024 and beyond. The Fainu’s have a strong relationship with WT recruitment manager Scott Fulton. (DT)

Latu Fainu has also played a lot of school footy with the likes of TDS, Kit Laulili’i and the massive contingent of Westfields boys in WT’s pathway at the moment.

Fainu turned 18 the same week as TDS and has played 6 NSW Cup games this year.
Struggled to find his feet early but over the weekend had 1 try, 1 try assist, 1 forced drop out, 3 line breaks, 5 tackle breaks, 2 offloads and 131 metres at halfback in Cup.

Also looks as Turbo is done for the season, does Manly come knocking for a early Talau release ?

Anyone have an opinion on how feledy is going in the lower grades? Is he realistic change of a debut next year?
Is very powerful and is near unstoppable close to the line.

Isn’t very fast though like others have said, so relies on his strength.

Has scored 8 tries in 11 Flegg games this year (he’s playing up an age group, he played SG Ball earlier in the year).

Will almost certainly get a debut next year if he stays fit (or even late this year once we start experimenting for next season as Sheens said is likely to happen).

Anything is possible but you would think that with his brother playing for us, the Tigers needing halves, his association with Fulton and the opportunity to be coached by Benji (could be a positive or a negative) that we would have a decent chance of securing him. As usual the Tigers could still manage to stuff this up!!
Just waiting for Lee to come out and announce it's virtually a done deal.
