Drama At Wests Tigers

I Heard it again on the Behind the Roar Podcast,

How did the Tigers NOT anticipate the Cowboys wanting revenge for their record loss a few weeks back??

How was this a surprise???

The idiots went on holidays and were ill prepared.

These constant Stupid and unprofessional decisions is what's causing the drama here that results in our club being a joke.

I heard Sheens state that were expecting the Cowboys to want revenge. They must have known. Allowing Bateman and Benji to go on holidays mid-season was completely unprofessional though.

It reeks to me of tanking the season.

Interesting on Nrl 360 tonight Braith who played a short stint with Tigers said when he went there he knew something not quiet right but then hosting 360 said he couldn't talk details but what he did say was telling .You can't blame the coaches and the players inferring its the management .That's what has to change
Lee says Tigers going on a massive recruitment program ! Seriously whos available
Not much . Also who would want to come to Concord Not many .
Take this with a grain of salt and no actual inside knowledge of the club or its management. I am not an ex-player and only a member of 10 years. But here goes. I'm a screenwriter and last year was employed to work on a (very funny) rugby league based comedy series by some well known figures in sports media. They admitted one of the reasons they wanted me for the job was I was wearing my Chris Lawrence pin on my suit for the interview!

Anyway, as part of it, we met a lot of player agents - for very high profile clients. The Tigers were struggling and my co-creators were hassling me, but also sympathetic as they could tell I loved the club. These men had close contacts with people deep inside the NRL and said to me they had been told by all the managers and agents, and NRL people they worked with that the problem with the Tigers was management/board. It was a 'basket case'. Nothing could change until they became more professional in this aspect. I don't post often, and like I said I don't have inside knowledge, but that's what I heard.

Sheens does not care,he threw Noddy to the wolves last year by loaning out players and not replacing them making us certanties for the spoon. This year he has been just as unprofessional and it is quite possible if he keeps this attitude we may get 3 wooden spoons in a row 2022 2023 2024.Even Jason Taylor could not do that.

That had deep inside knowledge and they had been told by someone else and everyone said it was the Tigers board. No specifics at all ? They just need to be more professional ?

Well righto then. Let's get someone professional in. That'll fix it.

So if we had the best team in the comp we'd still be last because of unprofessional management ?

Next time ask them for specifics that they've seen and raised to the club and those issues haven't been fixed.

I'm not blaming Sheens because we've been crud for so long. He has been absolutely hopeless so far but there is always next year. Maybe the juniors will come good.

I don't see any other options either. I mean Ciraldo who has achieved basically as much as me (nothing) knocked us back.

I remember the Rorters being so bad. They started rorting and turned it all around. I'd like to see more of that happening when we don't get busted.

The only thing I think will fix this is money and specifically money under the table.

That's common knowledge, not inside knowledge.

Yes Sheens definitely said it in the press conference. Something like "we knew they would be gunning for us after the previous result and now being in front of their home crowd; we knew it would be a tough trip."

You don't have to be told that Cowboys would want to get revenge for an embarrassing scoreline, it's true of any NRL club who gets belted... particularly those that find some form.

Hmmm…this has me thinking… Fox throw a lot of money to the NRL via broadcasting rights. A national competition with teams in W.A. and S.A. would be what Fox wants to increase their subscriber reach and revenue. Expansion to achieve this is difficult due to the limited player pool, so relocation is the more viable option..Could it be that Fox/Nrl360 are purposely pushing an agenda against the WT continually reporting how they are a basket case so the NRL end up moving the WT out of Sydney and start fresh again elsewhere as a new franchise. Hmmmm
If we weren't a basket case you'd have a point... But we are and they're just saying what everyone knows
Anastas wasn't on his own when phoning it in... We are great at getting new recruits down to our level... Tho this year is a bit of an anomaly with our new forwards I'll admit

I take your point Earl, but like I mentioned I'm no insider or pretend to be. I suppose, if I'm honest, I probably didn't want to believe it. The club had just sacked Madge and was in the hunt for Ciraldo, and I wanted to believe that success, or improvement was on the horizon. I prioritised my working relationship with these people more than finding out the specifics behind the comment. All on the forum can decide what they want to think about my post, but the level of people I was meeting for this project and the things they told me about other clubs (that have been borne out) made me feel they were credible.

What policies will you implement to improve the club? E.g. maybe you will introduce Taco Tuesday at the Zurich. Need to know how you think before I can consider giving you my support.
Well my question to you is who doesn’t love Taco Tuesday? How good would my bonding sessions be! I full employee is a happy employee which means they are a lazy employee - it makes sense - that’s the Tigers way.

Notably, all juniors funds will fill my coffers and there will be no giving back to the community - this I can promise you. Vote Tito!

Arriba!

No worse than any candidate I’ve seen in the last few years.

At least you seem to be honest and i can't remember the last time we had one of those in the club.

I hope you will persist with the policy of trading our best players to other clubs, then pocketing the transfer fee in the form of a 'bonus'.

The info you got is 100% correct , board are shit , Pascoe hopeless , Lee paid his way to his, position as chair via sponsorship funds , no cash 100% no way he is near the joint

History will not be kind on them unfortunately. If WTF was in Paris, 1945 we’d be shaving @Kaito head in the town square while enjoying a heavy, but fruity red from côte de Nuits.

Mate. That's hilarious lol. Unfortunately, I'm not
the type to be taken alive let alone humiliated..
Seriously though, I don't want to sound like an
apologist for Lee or anyone in the organisation
I realise I come across as contradictory at times,
I just love the club mate. Win or lose, that's all

Just to clear it up Braith is actually stupid and uneducated,
Just to clear it up......that is an extremely arrogant and ignorant statement.

Just to clear it up, Anasta has an enormous Sydney property portfolio, a successful management business, a successful media business, whereas my recollection from your previous posts is you live with your parents?

Just to clear it up.

Understand what you’re saying S but we can’t think like that coz we paint ourselves into a corner and the only option is folding, or another merge.
And I don’t want to think about that, at least for now.

Now that is a very interesting insight.
Good post full80.
