I believe so.if a player is only on a SG ball/Flegg contract then there aren't as many restrictions.

Well he is and Sheens is just acting as a mentor, love it or hate it. Don't think putting the Harold Matts in would help, a bit over the top. A plan is in place and this is what the club has decided it wants to do.

If they scrapped the plan after 6 months and just let an unqualified person run the club then such extreme levels of incompetence cannot be tolerated. Benji coaching NRL is the equivalent of 17 years olds making up our entire NRL line-up. The players aren't ready for it, and until they demonstrate that they are they have to work away through the grades, same applies to Benji. No one gets a golden ticket
Maybe, but it's still a bit tragic when parents embarrass their kids and put them in a bad position in their workplace. I'm sure the club would be aware what his dad's posting.
They were desperate, and you may be right but no one wanted to come here and coach. Benji has been given the reins and is learning under one of the greatest NRL coaches of all time, it may become a disaster but I actually think come 2025 Benji will kill it, he just doesn't need to be dealing with the vultures in the media whilst also learning the trade.
We're proactive and attempting to retain them for the long term. While some may not be happy with this, imagine if the club did nothing and allowed them to be poached.
It is so sad and pathetic when a parent can't accept that their child is no good at sport, Simpkin is solid reserve grader and will never reach the level that Da Silva will.
