Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

100% agree. If this is Robbie's ambition, they should position him into the business somewhere first, as part of leadership, for a while.
Agree - he needs learn to walk before he runs. Easier said than done. Look at Cory Payne...did well at Uni after football and then through into the top job and failed. Small steps.....i reckon Chris Lawrence would be a better fit to be honest.

Lol Robbie being CEO

People people people

WTF

1. They should run a campaign and get the best person whoever that is

2. Robbie has a very staunch style and puts a lot of people off… he’s quite polarizing

If he’s the best candidate fine

But if he’s the best candidate it means that Lee and the board did the best they could … I say no more

Fck me dead we’re an old boys unprofessional club

We’re competing against roosters… dogs… broncos… etc…. Clubs that have $$$

Robbie might be able to run a kebab chain (I think he has one or did ) … but if you want the best CEO we need a STATESMAN… someone who can pick up the phone to CEOs from corporate companies, government, etc… as well as set a strategic course for the club both financially and operationally …

I’m sorry but Robbie for me is not the guy I would pick.

If you care: Heard from some insider to Tony Sukkar that he won't be at the club for much longer. Not happy with how it is run and will be off to Parra, Dogs or redcliffe. He is definitely looking at his options to say the least.

Highly doubt it. We Just don't have room in our squad as it stands. We need halves and backs. A fringe first grade forward isn't a priority with the juniors we have coming through.
He could get a development or train and trial offer, but think another club will offer him an NRL deal
If the club is fair dinkum, we should be trying hard to offload Keparoa, Nofoaluma, Simpkin, Rua and either Naden or Reilly.
That would free up 5 more top 30 positions to enable us to sign some halves and outside backs and also keep our forward stocks strong which should include re-signing Seyfarth and James, also re-signing Staines.
Fasgatu is the young middle forward who looks most likely to be capable of stepping up to the top 30 and pushing for an NRL spot, but I don’t think he will be ready in 2024, he should be on a development contract for 2024 and moving into our top 30 in 2025.
