No, nope nada. While our middle defense is better then it was last year, it is still not first grade. Yes our wing/edge defense has gotten even worse then last year.

I like Twal, no he is not a top 10 defensive middle. Even with Klemmer, Paps, Bateman and co our middle defense is still not up to scratch and all those players are not playing at their peak standard.

I would re-sign twal, no delusions though.

I think you have pinned the reason why Bateman does so well on the edge rather then the middle.

We have juniors coming up who could help solve that problem. Last year our pack just got walked on. We don't get walked on, we get outscored.

If it’s about shortage of spots in the top 30 then there are at least 6 players in our 30 who will never play NRL at any reasonable standard so I’d rather lose them before Twal.
We let him go and we struggle to find a better replacement- the way up is replacing deadwood for starting 17 NRL players, not the other way around.
