I would happily trade him for Spencer Leniu. He reminds me of Keith Galloway, big body but always tentative. So much potential to be a damaging player if he would just rip in.

OR
Agree to sign Pappenheusen and offer to loan Bula to the Storm for a season.
The "Prodigy" fullback they have isn't probably ready for full time first grade. Let Bula learn in a well developed team while we give them cap relief and a chance at the title.
Ofcourse this would be contingent on Pappen willing to come back at Center or wing. We can't have 2x fullbacks long term.
That would be ideal.I'm all in on Bula at 1, but if medical reports on Paps ankle are positive, he would be huge for us. Imagine Bula and Staines on the right, Toa and Tupou on the left, with Paps' speed and ball playing chiming into the backline? We could tear teams apart if our halves get it right.
Hard no for Paps. He’s broken. That would be ideal.
Paps also looked quite comfortable playing in the halves briefly for Melbourne in the game he got injured, so that would be another option.
Still injuries .Whats all this nonsense of moving Bula from fullback to accommodate Paps, i think there's been a few too many beers being had last night.
A little harsh... both long term injuries were from either, "act of god' and "friendly fire" from a reckless130kg behemoth.
More like smoking some beers !Whats all this nonsense of moving Bula from fullback to accommodate Paps, i think there's been a few too many beers being had last night.
On a mental downhill slide? He reminds me of Keith Galloway, big body but always tentative. So much potential to be a damaging player if he would just rip in.
Just seems like to nice a guy to be playing front row. Has the body and potential but doesn’t have that important mental drive and aggression. On a mental downhill slide?
The answer?
Look for another frontrower, plan B.
And others don’t have the mind. Some players just don’t have the body for the physicality
Haha that’s true. And others don’t have the mind.
Agreed, wally lewis at 5/8 langer half, lazzo prop, paul sirro can be the wide running back rower...I'm all in on Bula at 1, but if medical reports on Paps ankle are positive, he would be huge for us. Sorry king sirro just to add toa and tupou don't excite me either tbh. I know toa has had 4 good weeks out of 2 years and tupou had a good month to start the year but santa better deliver a 3 quarter lineAgreed, wally lewis at 5/8 langer half, lazzo prop, paul sirro can be the wide running back rower...
Paps is cooked. Sorry but after having to go to the states last year for last chance saloon and then this no one will touch him. Rebuild his career at the storm or thats it.
Gone to CowboysJust saw the Warriors announced Villiami Vailea is leaving. He is young and very athletic. He’s a bit raw but I reckon he would be a great pick up (if only we had a couple of roster spots to pick up players like that)
