Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Ive said similar before.
Id be amazed if Feledy plays regular FG at any club
He’s part of that group that gets big wraps from lower grade watchers but due to lack of game time in NRL, or due to lack of ability, not sure if he’s any good or not.
The most glaring one is Matamua who had people saying he was the next big star but haven’t seen anything to show that is the case.

For the coming season can I request our lower grade “ good judges” be certain that a player has got “ IT” before he gets those huge wraps.

Blore, Matamua and Stefano were seen as “can’t miss” prospects. Their stories haven’t been completely written yet but as a club we have been horrible at developing players for a long, long time now. Combining our focus on being a development club with an extremely inexperienced coaching staff concerns me greatly.

I think Matamua will come good.
He has gone through most of his juniors playing 6 and was elevated quickly last year finishing SG ball before first grade towards the end of the year. If anything he got promoted ahead of his time. Been playing Cup in the forwards and needs to spend more time playing there for his body to adapt.

Seems he's been in at concord Training a bit this off season....
Another reason he should be kept.
That could mean he’s off to Melbourne?
It’s been a huge problem with us, not having depth in our squad has imo softened our players. Players getting picked every week slackening off thinking they’ve climbed their Everest.
Blore finally doing extras would be because his agents phone will start ringing next week.

I don’t see a problem with moving bula to centre if u got a fit papa , lots of good fullbacks had there early days as a winger or centre, if it strengthen the team why not ???

Bula is killing it at fullback could be a generational talent, re-signed on decent money to be our long term fullback solution. Arguably we havent had a replacement for Teddy since Bula came on the scene. You don't move one of your best players to accommodate a very injury prone Paps.

Will he be effective at wing or centre? He's still learning his craft at fullback, imagine how good he can be if he's allowed to develop further in that position. There's plenty of other's in the backline that need a rocket or shuffling around and people want to move the one piece that's been outstanding. I really don't get the logic and im not having a go at you either, i know you've explained your reasonings but i disagree.

Any evidence he is finally doing extras rather than continuing to do extras?
I thought he had always been one of the most dedicated and professional players.

It could, Could also mean he's been given a 5yr extension and been made club captain
(Since we're inventing dots to join)

'Finally' doing extras?
You're certain he's not done them before are you?
OR
He could be a professional, Who's doing his best to get his body where it needs to be coming back from Injury... To make a claim for a spot in the team every week for next season.

Having heard him speak, And met him - Based on his history.... I'd suggest it's the latter.

Blore was about the only player to increase his output toward the end of the season,
A short season might have something to do with it,
Either way - He's not (Nor ever been) afraid of work.

And if his phone 'starts ringing' from next week, Everything I've noted here might suggest why that would be
Fair enough, we’ll see whose speculation is closest to the mark during the off-season.

I love Bula. Thought he was amazing this year, particular playing in a pretty poor backline. I loved his fitness and how his body stood up to a fair bit of attention. He's talented and I hope he will be a really good first grader and hopefully our long term fullback, but generational talent? That's a pretty high bar to jump.

I did say "could be" :ROFLMAO:

What's the latest news on Luai curly?
All I know is we have an offer which makes him the highest paid player in the NRL
I sense it’s a 4 or 5 year deal
Penrith won’t be able to match it so unless there is another club willing to get to the $1.4m+ territory you’d have to think we are in the box seat
He’s a family man for all his bluster so I like our chances bigly

That's a lot of money. I think he would be mad to turn it down (think we are a little mad to offer it). All the while being able to keep the Western Sydney community connection not having to relocate. Lots of pro's and con's to that kind of deal.

Yep. Will unbalance our cap a lot for a long time. He’s not the best player in the comp.
