Also even if Laui signs a 4 yr contract - that would mean Fainu and Galvin are only 21/22 when his contract is up same as when Sullivan's is up. That's a good time to be coming into fulltime NRL playing. No issue with 1 or both of them playing bits and pieces over the next few years as they develop and be ready for full time NRL in 4 years

Plus with Galvin's size imo he will end up a n edge backrower

With any normal 18 year olds what you are saying would be true.
Latu Fainu and Lachie Galvin are talked about in the highest echelon of 18y.o talent, therefore if they even go close to fulfilling their potential over the next 1-2 years, they would be expecting to be regular NRL players and not waiting in line.

Good post. Galvin could also play centre as many good 5/8s have done in the past.

Galvin will fill out and play in the back row like Wade Graham. the hard part is convincing him of that sooner rather than later.

All Wears Tigers supporters should be praying these 2 along with a handful of others live up to their potential and help Wests Tigers become a premiership force sooner than later.
If we lose them or they don’t live up to their potential, it will likely mean another 10 years of rugby league misery for Wests Tigers fans.

Joel has other connections with the history of the club he is married to Wayne Smith’s daughter who played for the Magpies than defected to the Sharks at the back end of his career. I was great friends with Wayne’s brother Rod who also played for the magpie’s but sadly passed away two years ago. Rod always said Joel was a champion bloke
