Senior Management and The Board - MEGA Thread

So one of the articles about tomorrow's board meeting has suggested that while there's a possibility of a major shake up, that nothing has been decided and that doing nothing remains a realistic option.

So I suggest all those who care about the club and want to make sure that the current Muppets on the board are left with no uncertainty that the fans demand wholesale change and not just one sacrificial lamb, to email them and make it unbundantly clear that we want all the recommendations from the review to be adopted. Anything less is an insult and won't be tolerated.

Dennis Burgess appears to be a dinosaur with no email, but he has a facebook account called 'denny's email', amd an insta he uses a fair bit.

If you have Julie Romero's email please pass that on too so she can be reminded.

Be civil, thankful for their service but remind them of their many many failures and the desperate need for fresh ideas, accountability and an improved corporate structure and governance at Wests Tigers.

Absolutely not. I care about my club and its culture deeply and refuse to join in on an unthinking a populist pile on. I can do better than groupthink.

Your comment carries a barely hidden subtext that if this review does not sufficiently scapegoat the people you expect scapegoated, we have to bully and criticise people in our club via their personal and professional channels. Thats not being a fan, thats being a troll. What a disgrace, grow up.

The review is happening. You'll get the results in good time. It won't by nature, change any existing constraints and realities that make it hard for our club to compete or strategise long term in the player market. It won't change the human nature that make Rugby League boardrooms inherently political places. It won't stop leaks or factionalism. It won't calm down ferbile podcasters or put an end to fox news pile ons. It won't stop Roy Masters writing articles about our board like its a chapter from Game of Thrones.

You don't speak for all of the fans. Yes, perhaps its time for a change. If I want to protest I'll do it at games, I'll do it directly to the club, within the world of Rugby League in general.

If they punt Pascoe and LH the same year they punted brooks, I would say it’s the best offseason ever.

Fingers and toes crossed!!!
Who’s going to set up the witches hats before games and run the warmups? Leaves a big hole.

Veteran NRL powerbroker Shane Richardson has been linked with a move to the troubled Wests Tigers.
It comes in the countdown to a Tigers board meeting on Tuesday that is expected to pass on recommendations of the recent independent review by Tony Crawford.
Interestingly, Richardson formed a very close working relationship with Crawford when the two worked together at the NRL during Dave Smith’s term as chief executive.
It is expected Crawford’s review will lead to some dramatic changes.
There has been mounting pressure on Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis and chief executive Justin Pascoe, while the club has also been reportedly searching for a new general manager of football.
Richardson has been unable to be contacted for comment, but the speculation linking him to the Tigers has been doing the rounds within the NRL in recent days and is gaining
Momentum

Richardson has the runs on the board to handle either the chief executive or GM role equally well if the Tigers decide to head in a new direction.
Richardson is one of the game’s most experienced and successful administrators who has worked at the top level for more than 25 years.
He worked previously at South Sydney in roles ranging from chief executive to GM of football, and was instrumental in building the foundations on the road to the Rabbitohs’ drought-breaking premiership in 2014.

He was also at Penrith working alongside John Lang when the Panthers won the comp in 2003, while prior to that he and Lang formed a formidable combination at Cronulla.
Richardson has also been working as a consultant as part of the Brisbane Tigers’ bid to get an NRL licence.
In more recent years, he also set up a company with his son Brent, Rich Media, to promote athlete brand awareness. Their clients include big name NRL personalities Adam Reynolds and Greg Inglis.
I'm friends with his son, Brent. He just confirmed that it's happening.

It has been widely reported the Holman Barnes Group, who provide four of the seven directors to the Tigers, have given thought to scrapping the board, including chairman Lee Hagipantelis, and starting again.

This was from one of the articles about Nofoaluma. God I hope it's true. Some of those dinosaurs have been on the board for 10-15 years, have made blunder after blunder and never been held accountable. For the good of the club they all need to stand down.
might be a chance tonight to kill off the Wests Magpie and Balmain factions on the board and start again
