This is surely a Christmas miracle.
After all the misses in recent seasons, we've actually landed our BIG fish.
And Luai is a proper team player.
I love Wests Tigers.
Besides Ellis and Luai, Id say the biggest fish the Tigers have ever landed is the signing of Richo. World class back office player. When this forum runs its yearly, whos been our best signings ever thread, Richo will be in the top 3 for sure.

a spine of Bula, Luai and Api….

Can we fast forward to 2025 yet?
Chuck in whoever is the best out of Fainu, Sullivan , Galvin , with AD to the centres and maybe Galvin as well . I guess 24 will be a best man wins year . And both the kids have at least 2 years before it’s an absolute must for them to be in grade .
I’m not sold on Luai , but 1.2 for the current NSW 6 , who is 2 years younger than Moses , I mean that’s not a bad deal right there .

I like the idea of Tupou and Galvin as the centres.

AD isn't contracted for 2025.
We might not have the funds for him either, any more.
Unless he's willing to sign for unders.

1. Bula
6. Fainu
7. Luai
9. Da Silva

14. Sullivan

Not sure where Galvin fits in (hopefully centre to start with) but hope we don't lose him.
With Api playing 80 for the next 2/3 years, Galvin is the perfect 14, will be able to learn/play some centre, some second row, even lock as he fills out. He can rotate the 14 with Tallyn as he, too gets more experience against men. That will put these boys at 20/21 in 2/3 years and ready to take their place in the team. TDS at hooker and Galvin on an edge (or, less likely, at centre).

I remember when Richo was at Souths I was very envious the Tigers didnt have a guy like that. Had a mate that played for Gateshead Thunder in the late 90s that Richo helped to launch that club, and had a few convos with Richo back then, Guy is an absolute weapon. Something the Tigers have needed for a very long time. 100% this deal has happened because of him, 1 phone call and Luai was in. No way it was happening if trackies and the Fedora were still here. Tigers are on the path.

Yes, on the path to success, which is a major change from that road to ruin that we were on.

Will still wait for an official announcement rather than 'journalist stories' but this is looking seriously likely now which is VERY exciting.
Nothing is guaranteed to bring success but noone could have acheived any better for our club than getting Richo and Luai in one week.
Great news!

Chammas wouldnt have printed that this morning if it wasnt a done deal. He got permission to publish it. Xmas present announcement by the club next week.

It’s something we have really lacked since Benji/Moses really. It’s something we desperately need as well. Add to that he is a proven consistent winner.

This is very unlike Wests Tigers to nail a move like this.
If the Luai signing is legit, then this is just the start.

I can see a situation where in the next year or 2 that player managers will be coming to the door, cap in hand.
