Hey mate, i’ve been one of the few who has been staunch as hell, never once have turned to water and have tried to hold everyone’s hand throughout this, telling everyone not to worry, he’ll be here. Never wavered once. Total optimist.

Haha u have. Love it mate, great stuff

The 10 days is a brand new rule this off season
In the old days, ie last season. Agreed to terms was as good as signed just giving the club / player time to prepare for the official announcement.
Now agreed to terms is; I have a nice day juicy carrot in my pocket I’m going to see how much my current club loves me and oh. I don’t have to follow through with that carrot so I can use it to dangle at another club once my current club doesn’t agree to an extension. In the long run someone will announce my signing.

This new ‘cooling off period’ sounds like a croc of shite! So there saying he can just renig on the deal? I can live with only his current club can try to get him back. But not he has just decided against it? That’s bullshit! It’s worse than the old ‘cooling off period’. Once he’s agreed to the new club, he should only be able to resign with his old club during that ten days. If they can’t agree to terms than he has to go to the new club.

Teddy23 posted some mail in the other thread.

What's plan B if Luai stays with Penrith?

I still think we need an experienced half from 2025 on.
FYI plan B sucks. Yet Benji Committed our cap money to it.

Sezer is our "experienced half", really a 5/8.
Sullivan/Fainu are our halves unless you think AD is returning.

AD + Sullivan + Sezer + Fainu = 2mil of cap space. We are NOT signing an experienced half without loosing 1 of those 4. (or we blow our cap space on halves when we still have backline weaknesses... i.e. 14-17th).

100% but Unkle Nick compained that the banks take 9 days to stuff the paper bags.

Not sure he is a better player than Moses, but he brings things to us that Moses doesn’t. He is a hard nut, he is ultra competive and a proven winner over a long time. We need these quality probably more than the stuff Moses brings to the table.
he is a winner, Moses is a good player just doesn't have the mongrel Luai does

2025 we probably don't have Sezer or AD
Luai, Fainu, Sullivan and Galvin

Take a breath mate. It’s not happening.

I suppose Benjis thinking;

1) Combines with former premiership winning and current SOO half in Api.

2) Can mentor Fainu.

2) Adds size at in halves.

4) Mongrel and competitiveness

5) A winner

6) A spine of Bula, Fainu , Luai and Api.

7) Might yet bring out the best in former team mate Naden.

8) Creativity in the halves allows for Bateman to concentrate more on the edge.

9) A vote of confidence for the club.

10) Bums on seats.

Jimmy brings.

What makes you so confident?
Is there a reason not to be? No one has a clue how this 10 day thing works, if it’s even happening, what stage it’s at, or what clubs even have the ability to still offer him a deal. And I’m supposed to be panicked?

Sezer has been a halfback for a decade. Took Canberra to a GF as one

4. He has signed and current discussions are regarding when he comes...
Alright then.
With us at 30 out of 30 squad numbers; who is going to get the tap to make room for Luai?
Also has to be an offical offer that he accepts terms to in order to kick start the 10 day cooling off period.
If it was already elapsed as you say. Why has our original 4.5mil 4 year deal jumped out to 6mil 5 year deal?
There was no talk about 5 years being a requirement weeks ago until new was circulating the past few days that the Bulldogs were going to go to 5years….

Real Henny Penny stuff in here as it has been for weeks
He’s coming to Tiger town
Is there a chance he doesn’t?
Maybe but it’s too slim to worry about
Enjoy the positive news, you attract what you wish for so be careful with that and keep the positive vibes strong 🙏🏼💪🏼
Big props for the early scoop. Great drop!
