John Bateman #268

Sloane can’t tackle.

As footy players get older it’s sometimes quality over quantity. In NFL veteran rest days are often contracted.

Hope to see our crazy Pom back at training when it resumes in January .
Hopefully we see him on deck before round 4 and if we don't, hopefully he has the common courtesy to send us a post card from Disney Land or wherever else he may be.

Can tell he’s the guy in the team who hates losing the most. A key reason to get Luai now. Some of Sheens good signings may not be around if we keep playing spoon ball.
If he hates losing so much, maybe he should try getting deep and running onto the ball with a bit of venom, rather than the jog trotting crap he dished up in 2023.

Ironically, it describes his favourite plodder, Alex Seyfarth. But @Vicious is too stupid to realise that.
Get the blinkers off and watch the game.
Seyfarth run the ball harder than Bateman in every carry throughout 2023.
If you think paying 700k for someone who runs the ball half hearted is good value, then good for you. He made more sideways metres than Nofoaluma and that’s saying something.

What you’re describing is not the sort of back rower John Bateman is
On what planet is any edge forward who runs the ball half hearted and more sideways than forward any good to any NRL team ?
Any decent edge back rower runs the ball hard, makes inroads, breaks tackles, makes line breaks, scores tries.

Just when I think you can’t post anything dumber, you exceed my expectations.

Bateman averaged just under 110m per game while the powderpuff Seyfarth averaged under 50m per game (which was sitting below 30m until he strung together a few solid games)
Bateman also had a higher tackle efficiency than Seyfarth while playing more minutes and making more tackles.
Bateman also had more post contact metres per game than Seyfarth

Do you make an effort to be the dumbest poster on here or does it come naturally to you?

One plays 80mins, the other plays 20mins if he’s lucky you imbecile.
You obviously cannot read either as I’ve stated edge back rowers are supposed to provide impact, tackle busts, line breaks. Your mate Johnny didn’t even try to get out of first gear in 2023. They must be counting the sideways metres in his stats.
Using us up for an Aussie vacation.
But you stick with your stats and be happy all edge back rowers at other NRL clubs run onto the ball with venom, while your mate doesn’t even attempt to.
