What’s the drama? Aren’t the players on Christmas break? Could have made a quick dart to the old dart.
They've been training the last few weeks no?
Has he been on the photos the last how many weeks?
I thought WTs NRL was his business

While most of our nuffies had a holiday between about July and November Bateman was staying fit and being Englands best player in a 3 test series win over a strong Tongan outfit. Jesus there’s some selective criticism around here.
This bloke is part of the solution. Thanks Sheensy!

That was about 6 or 7 weeks ago... Didn't we have other players playing reps here and in NZ?While most of our nuffies had a holiday between about July and November Bateman was staying fit and being Englands best player in a 3 test series win over a strong Tongan outfit. You don’t have to treat everyone the same, man management 101.
I see some guys doing extras when they don't have to... Saw.a story on. Sloane yesterday... Blokes. Like this is what we.need and would be part. Of the solution

Sloane can’t tackle.
As footy players get older it’s sometimes quality over quantity. In NFL veteran rest days are often contracted.
Hope to see our crazy Pom back at training when it resumes in January .

Yeah but he’s been in England with his grandfather dying and his house being burgled it probably prolonged his stay.
Didn't know that... Paints a different light on things
Pretty sure the NRL rules are veterans get 10 weeks off after their last game. Batemans last game was Nov 5 for England. So may not be due back 'til mid January.
I don't however know if September counts towards his 10 weeks as obviously he wasn't playing footy then.
Time off entitlement is staggered according to length of career.

Doesn’t he still have the cleaning business? Ok it must be under management but it would be labour intensive, so the owner needs to have some input. Discretionary effort of staff doesn’t exist with owners.
I think he’ll be there when pre season starts up again.

Hopefully we see him on deck before round 4 and if we don't, hopefully he has the common courtesy to send us a post card from Disney Land or wherever else he may be.

What are the overs/unders of him wanting to return home before his contract is up due to being 'homesick' ?
