Justin Olam #281

I hope your right, but I wouldn't say no way. IMO Fijians and PNG players can lose confidence when hit the way they hit others.

I can't remember who hit Sivo, but I remember he got hammered once and he has been a shadow of himself since.

I'm really hoping that Olam had a back issue and got pissed when his rehab didn't go as he wanted. If that is the case, we may land on our feet with a fit and fresh Justin. I'm doubtful though.
Are we sure this would apply to race? Maybe certain players lose confidence after being folded.

Look forward to outcome of Olams medical. Seems like Bellamy wants him out ASAP.
Am I reading this correctly that Olam comes straight away but Blore has one more year with us ? Or does he go straight away as well ?

It would be a straight swap, blore to storm this year

yeah there’s no way a bloke as resilient and bulletproof as Olam was knocked around by a hit from Haumole. how ridiculous. he’ll be a welcome addition for 2024, my only concern is longevity.
It was a good hit but it wasn’t life threatening? I had to sus it out bcoz of the way some have talked it up like he’s having ptsd nightmares every time he hears a chopper?

So, holding out hope for two non natural centres in a few years is better than recruiting an established centre, Dally M and premiership winner?
I don’t get it.
So just sign Jamie Lyon, he won the Dally M 3 or 4 times and won premierships as well.

You cannot denigrate one player winning an award while using it to prop up your argument for another,

So just to clarify , Olam spat the dummy when the storm mishandled his injury - Olam perspective .
So just to clarify , Olam was bludging and being a bit soft , and not putting in for his team when they were down on troops - Storm perspective .
Have I summed this up semi accurately?
I only have one question , because the footballing ability is for all to see .
Is he a shit bloke . And is there any chance of BJ Leilua round 2 ? Because otherwise I can’t see what the issue is if the contract is heavily subsidised.

Just think we hold out for the right centre to come along. Not $600,000 for 3 years, on a hope and a prayer that he’ll come good.
We have talent coming through we got large in a few years there’s a player in large’s team that good coming through. I reckon Galvin a shot for there as well. Don’t panic buy a burnt out 30 year old for 3 years!
Wait fir the right age, right skill level. We have already got a gamble on Luai becoming a 7!
What wait another two years , by that time our pack will be old and done , if u want to keep waiting we will never get of the bottom

According to that bloke Olam was never much chop but got carried by the rest of the storm. I wouldn't bother engaging with morons

This signing guys one year out is crap.....in every way.

Supporting them, waiting for them they may lose form etc stc.
Yeah I agree.
What’s to say Penrith don’t fully rehabilitate Luai as they would if he was staying there and pressure him to play busted to help them reach the finals, understanding that the risk of long term jury is not theirs but ours moving forward?
Very, very possible.
