Wasnt a fluke adn the NRL change the ruck interpretations immediately after it to slow the game down.2005 has been proven to be a total fluke year given what happened after it.

The young lad from Mackay we recently signed might surprise you……..Some.
The fact that someone is, or is not, in a Top 8 side carries a lot less weight than many think it does in my opinion. There are countless examples of duds not only playing in Top 8 teams, but winning competitions. The reverse is also true, with many examples of champion players stuck in woeful teams (basically, anybody involved with us for the past 12 years).
Now, back to the efficacy of signing Terrell when based on what he's currently shown -
His output is pretty good for a bench prop, without being outstanding. His tackle efficiency is quite good, his metreage and tackle-breaks are ok and he seems to run with purpose, which I like. He's a decent bench prop as it stands right now. But there are probably 15-20 'decent' bench props in the comp at the moment.
The main point I was making, was that he offers no upgrade on the likes of Pole, who I think is a far better prospect, is younger and has a higher ceiling. We then have the likes of Twal and Seyfarth on the books, who, whilst not as impactful, I would argue are more reliable middles and undeniably more well-rounded when it comes to effort on effort moments. We then have the likes of Kit, Faagutu and Jordy Miller who are 12-24 months away from being around the 17, if not mainstays, so it would be sideways signing at best and a pathway blocker at worst.
Six clubs tried to sign this kid. He will kick on real well. He can ball play fa’agutu… I hope they all kick on and fill that tigers jersey with pride, skill, and be all round good c$$@& for this club. Here are a few highlights. He's an exceptional talent and one of our young players I am excited about. Every now and then a player with the athletic ability, attitude, fitness, technique and skills comes through our ranks. Pole was one and indications are Fa'agutu is as well.
Played with guys that were horrible trainers , yet brain it on the field - match fit and tough as teak . I would love to see fox in tigers jumper.I'm not opposed to it, I'd love to see him come home, but Fox is a notoriously bad trainer. not Nofo bad, but not great all the same.
great for culture and loves the club and is one of the game's great personalities, but are we putting ourselves in a corner again with a high paid winger who has issues on the training paddock?
the perfect scenario is taking him on a cut priced deal for the remainder of his contract with an option for 2026. I think the Dogs and Fox would be receptive to that, and it doesn't hurt us financially.
again, I'd love to see him come home and he still has more to give, but I do have some slight doubts.
Bit off topic. Not that I have ever put much stock into Kemp, but he lost all credibility when he was talking about where Luai would end up back in November. Talked about it five mins in a clip I watched and hypothesised which clubs he could wind up at. Not once did he or any of the other numb skulls he has there mentioned us.Here are a few highlights. I know, but he was scoring at the same clip in the NRL though. I hope he comes back and proves a few wrong at some stage. Alex Johnson is no star defender and he’s a career try scorer with all time records in his sights.70% of his tries are in super league.
I’m still a bit shocked he came to us. It takes balls to go from the top to the bottom. Who was the last, K Ponga?Bit off topic. Kimmorley did it when he went from Melbourne to the Northern Eagles. Sheesh depressing that I remember that clearly. I’m getting old.I’m still a bit shocked he came to us. It takes balls to go from the top to the bottom. Who was the last, K Ponga?
You probably have to go back that far. Most guys are like Cronk and just chase trophies in their comfort zone.Kimmorley did it when he went from Melbourne to the Northern Eagles. Sheesh depressing that I remember that clearly. I’m getting old.
Cronk is an elitist, It’s hard to describe the vibe he gives off, but he just strikes me as a guy who would not spit on a struggling club if they were on fire. Like he would get physically ill just walking into a club like ours. You probably have to go back that far. Most guys are like Cronk and just chase trophies in their comfort zone.
Ted, my words were; we may have a little more cover than it might appear. There’s a difference between cover and quality cover. If we’re being truthful with ourselves 3 of those 4 names aren’t quality NRL wingers.
. Lobb is a junior who hasn’t played a game of NRL.
. Alaimalo is a rugby union player who hasn’t played a game of NRL.
. Naden has talent but if we’re being realistic what he has shown lately is he’s a journeyman and couldn’t crack into a wooden spoon side. Haven’t given up on him however. I also consider him more a centre.
Staines I’ll give you.
Nofa leaving and the pending departure of Tupou we definitely need at least one more winger. Was told Fox is still quietly being shopped around. I wouldn’t be against it tbh. Taylan May another option.
Alex Johnson says hi.He has scored that many tries in the vastly inferior SL.
He is small and can’t tackle.
Im not yet convinced you’re not taking the piss
Hi!Alex Johnson says hi.
I would not have picked AJ for 95kgAJ is 10cm & 10kgs heavier though
Remember the flying mullet from a couple of years back. Had one decent game at Win stadium then couldn’t catch a cold. Name escapes me. Plenty of flash in the pan wingers. With how highly people seem to rate Lobb on here we might not even need a winger
Yeah his prime was two years ago. His hammies will be cactus soon.Hi!
It would be great to steal him from Souths although he’s slowing down quickly
Cmon there's only one flying mullet.Remember the flying mullet from a couple of years back. Had one decent game at Win stadium then couldn’t catch a cold. Name escapes me. Plenty of flash in the pan wingers.

This is a key point. Apart from Api, Bula, Papali’i and Bateman, how many of our guys have shown the ability to be consistently great in first grade? Just showing up and filling out a jersey doesn’t get you wins.I think it’s interesting people saying we are ok and banking on 2 untested & 1 yoyo player.
We came last we need NRL players.
They may turn out to be NRL players but banking on them is high risk. We have all seen this over and over again before.
Naden also hasn’t been NRL week in week out quality yet in his career. So banking on him is high risk if we want to play finals.
I’ll take $150!This is a key point. Apart from Api, Bula, Papali’i and Bateman, how many of our guys have shown the ability to be consistently great in first grade? Just showing up and filling out a jersey doesn’t get you wins.
It’s why nobody’s taking the $100 on offer for us to win the comp.
