He played fullback, centre and 5/8.

I can just imagine my teammate saying it's not his job to make tackles.

Injury hit him pretty bad.
11 games in 2022 and only 6 in 2023.
In 2021 we only won 8 games yet he was among the leading point scorers in the comp.
Worth taking a chance on at a reduced contract... if he goes down injured again he'll be medically retired.

Mate if he wants to play for a reduced contract, then sure, but at what position? He is not a centre and won't get a shot in the halves with the guys we already have.

It’s a good debate which I’m sure Benji and our coaching staff are having themselves.

the news that manu is off to rugby union spells trouble for us and our hopes of retaining galvin - particularly since the roosters were sniffing around him a few months ago. expect the chatter to ramp up in coming months.

We have to respond positively to the challenge by building a culture which appeals to our younger players. Koroiseau, Luai, Bateman, Utoikamanu, Pole, Olam and Bula all can play their part. I like the interview Koroiseau had the other night.

I think you are on the money there @pawsandclaws1. Build the culture so they don't want to move - having said that winning is a very important part of developing that culture so performance this year on the field is an important element.

One great thing I took from the GI interview was his comparison of Benji to Bennett. If he nails it Benji just may be the start of the turn around. If he is truly working the individuals he will know what buttons to push and how to get the best out of them. IF the leadership truly buy in to a mentorship program of the younger players it will provide a modicum of protection from the outside noise.

One thing that we can't afford to do is pander to them though. Set the standard high and make them reach for it - but provide the resources and guidance needed to get there.

& Sukkar are the depth alternative behind Kepaoa
& Samuela. Suppose we have Seyfarth that can
play there too but our pathways to top 30
contracts have been poor. Miller included too

If you read between the lines Matt Feagai looks highly likely to be squeezed out at the Dragon.
From the Dragons games I’ve watched and there’s been quite a few of them, I believe he’s showed a lot of promise and is still only 22y.o despite already having played a couple of seasons as a regular NRL player.
Would he be a decent replacement for Junior Tupou, I believe so.

Still got puppy fat man. He should be on a strict
diet plan with the nutritionist. No way you are
that young & doing so much intensive training
without losing any weight or gaining definition.
He's still young but he shouldn't mess around

When I was a boy our next door neighbor (Mick) was a mad rugby league fan who regularly attended matches from the mid 1930s to the mid 1980s. He was a mine of information about the history of the game.

He told me he was at the SCG to watch a match between Souths v Canterbury, when one of Canterbury's big front row forwards burst through the line and charged downfield.

Clive Churchill stepped aside and let him score. Mick reckons that when Churchill was quizzed by the press about it after the match, Churchill said that it wasn't his job to tackle prop forwards.

I really doubt that would have been Churchill. I heard exactly the same story but it was about a French fullback from the 1940s and 1950s, who was apparently a brilliant attacking player. His name was Puig Aubert.

Yes, I have heard the same about Aubert. But Mick reckons he saw it ( in the days before these matches were televised).
