Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Benji needs to flex some of his influence and get some players through the door.

Backs advised to find new clubs;
- Brent Naden
- Staford Toa
- Charlie Staines

- Solomon Alaimalo, no contract offer for 2025
- Feledy, can see his contract out playing cup (2025)
- Faatape, he is depth only
- Kepoa, off contract 2024 / no new contract considered.

Players targeted ;
Early releases needed.

- Blaize Talagi (Parra)
- Ali Leiataua (NZ)
- Israel Leota (Bris)
- Semi Valemai (NQ , off contract)
- Jack Bostock (2025, off contract)

Start making some moves.

Most of the time my concentration when watching opposition teams is questionable, so I can often be wrong, but what about Blake Wilson from the dogs? He looks to have a heap of promise and has great footwork.

We really need Nevran Willett and Luke Laulilii to be guns

Naden can play but every 3 games or so he has an absolute shocker and singlehandedly loses the game for the team. Every time we have him in the team we have to hope he’s not going to have one of those days.

The sad part is there is no one we can replace him with.

Problem with this team is we don’t have consistent first graders. Sullivan finally has a decent game and this time other players cost the team. There is every chance next week it will be the other way around.

We need to stop looking at a player like they will change. Naden has been like that for 5yrs+ now.
He won’t get better & is who he is which is nothing more than a reserve grade quality player.

He is costly and has been for ages & never wins us an NRL game from his brilliance.

He is a perfect example of our weakness as a team.

I'm a fan.

Noosa Pirate.
I feel like he's next in line at the Dogs.
Daresay they won't let him go.

Worth a look though.
They have another good young outside back too by the name of Eli Clarke too.

I also like the look of Luke Lualilii and Ali Karnib as future wing options from within our club.

So you think the Sharks coaching staff would make our team of battlers into a top 8 team ?
I know coaches have a big influence, but they cannot perform miracles.
Building a decent playing roster is the issue.
It’s possible for both the coaching and roster to be issues at the same time.

He’s a wholehearted energetic player, appears pretty safe under the high ball and is fairly quick.
A lust ofcwingerscwhocate either off contract or not getting much NRL recognition with their current club;

Jeral Skelton
Samuel Stonestreet
Alofiana Khan-Pereira
Blake Wilson
Grant Anderson
Semi Valemai

Read again, Vicious. My point was on & off field mate.

When will people stop blaming the coach and focus on the roster they have to work with.

We have by some distant the worst roster in the comp with zero back up from the lower grades. Slowly the club is trying to build the roster up, but it takes time. If by mid season next year we are still on struggle street, than sure start looking at Benji, but for now we have to give him some slack

Exactly. I see a lot on here saying, on his day Naden is quality. Well that today was the Naden I’ve seen too much of over the years. I don’t care if he has the odd good game. Time to make a mid season roster move.

I have said all alone that Naden was the wrong signing for us. He is terrible & because of how desperate we are due to bad recruitment some view him as good.

After today he should be banned and told his future is in reggies.

blaize talagi is a must, hopefully he is happy to play centre

Innes Senior looks to be having a good season in ESL. Young, tall and scoring plenty of tries. Anyone seen much of him?

Bradman Best, Cobbo, Lomax, Creighton.....all these guys are big, strong athletes.

A majority of our backs are either small or rail thin.

We could do with the addition of bigger, robust athletes to match up better.

For that, guys like Cotric make sense. I'm far more confident of Cotric tackling Best than Charlie Staines. This is why Doueihi could fit as well. WE simply do not have the big, hard to handle athlete's out wide.
Bradman Best destroyed us today.
Gosh we can only dream of having a centre like him. And he isn’t even top tier.
