Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

No, Pascoe should have had absolutely nothing to do with that, other than checking we were under the cap he should have had zero involvement with the football department, same with the board. None should be involved in the day to day operations

Benji is not negotiating with these signings about how much money they get ..

“We“ meaning Lee and Pascoe ?

Sure …
Neither of them should have had any involvement in offers being made. They are not in the football department. The GM of football ops should have overseen all this. That's what Sheens was hired to do, but then of course the club shat itself and blew up all the structure of the football department.
Regardless, the ceo and board should have had absolutely nothing to do with the management of the cap or size of contracts offered.

With Richo at the helm there's at least a boss with football management experience. So the need for a GM of football isn't as necessary.

It seems to me that Benji has a secret yearning to be accepted into the more illustrious and well heeled strata of society. An itch he needs to scratch.

Hes admitted to buying some of his stuff from ikea, that’s simply not going to cut it in civilised society these days.

Undermines the purported architectural aesthetic proposition of the linear theme.

He certainly would be involved in the conversation. Not with a final say but how much there paid has a huge impact on his ability to do his job this year and in the future.
Most clubs give their coaches a lot of control over the cap. Benji being a rookie may be a bit different

Pascoe and the club learnt their lesson allowing Cleary to sign up duds like Packer and injured crocs like Matulino and McQueen… no chance Benji gets a say in how much players get paid

Lee shouldn’t .. but did … he was allowed way more influence then he should have had over day to day running of the club…

It was part of Pascoe’s job …just like Richo’s now

So he has a nice house. That's allowed isn't it?
And I guess that like me and every other married bloke all the sporting and game like paraphernalia is confined by legislation to one room

I can't say that Benji didn't want him, but what I can say is that Sullivan's manager, Mario Tartak and Fulton had way too much influence on the list at that time with the support of Pascoe and Hagipantelis.

I agree that Benji probably wanted him …which doesn’t obviously look like a good call now …

The money is way overs and I’m putting that on the previous regime…

Having said that….Benji needs to start hitting some home runs soon… he has probably got another 12 months to turn things around…

Well I put it out there and it is for others to interpret the merit of it all.

I think it’s interesting because it shows insights into his personal values and aspirations.

Perhaps a bit like Lee and his ferari.

I found it mildly amusing, if not the decor, then the decision to publicise it!

Yes, yes, and yep.
I really like the Flintstone coffee table, but Mrs BF just turned her nose up at it, so we won’t be getting one.

So did I. Thanks TSP. 👍🏻👍🏻.
I particularly like some of your descriptive architectural commentary.

Then it is clear that Ms BF has taste.

I fear that some of Benjis artefacts on the shelves look like they were procured during a sale of the local “nothing over $3” store.

I can’t tell if it makes you more of a dipshit or a loser to be criticising someone for their family home.

Thanks, a bit of fun!

My concern for him is that he won’t be prepared for the next home decor season.

Then being social leaders, one hits the expensive cycle of having to update everything.

Against this is Mr Maguire, the famous car care mogul.

When he made enough money, he bought land and built an exact replica of the house he grew up in as a kid!!
