Sack Marshall

Be nice if Richo could bring back Sammy Burgess as an assistant coach.

Add Brad Arthur...

That's a team.

Benji Marshall
Sam Burgess
Brad Arthur
John Morris

Farah into a corporate role
Heino can be a NSW cup assistant
And then we attempt to drastically improve our first grade roster

It’s time… Or at least demote him to an assistant. Benji will always be a legend, but he is not ready to be a first grade coach. His appointment is the last hangover from the Pascoe and Hagiapantelis era… If he is fair dinkum, its time for Richo to make the call, we are meant to be a first grade NRL team, not a coach training facility…
I agree

He may be a NRL coach one day, but he needs to earn his stripes.

Yet we need to do this smartly.
Lets get Benji the head coach to NZ role. He can coach that side and work his way up.
When he has 5 years as a coach under his belt, then he can go for our side.

But giving him a NRL side in his rookie year, particularly a tough side like ours... HUGE mistake.

Yep it's the cattle
Nope it is the Cattle hurders.

Klemmer is a solid player, he has dropped form.
Bateman is a top performer, he is disheartened.
Papalii can still play, but we never see him play to his form.

Naden and Staines are not performing to past levels and can perform far better then they are.

Olam under used.

Halves pairings largely not working.

Honestly, only Bula has improved

I think Stefano,Galvin will go and Luai will backflip and go to the Dogs.

FInd it funny these players are sick of losing but apart of the losing mentality.

Young players just have no gp about them anymore.

If the Togers get a few more spoons next 3 years then surely the NRL needs to look at a better system because this system is unviable.

He just prepares them all week to.
You can sit a rock in water for a 100 years and when you break it in half the water won’t have penetrated.

the is first grade they don’t get coached on how to plat the ball, they should know not to reach out to score a try when you are clearly short. Not to tackle the runner when the kick is going dead and your full back has it covered, when if you step on the sideline after you catch it the opposition gets the ball.

Flanagan is a premiership-winning coach who knows how to identify and exploit opposition weaknesses. Some of our players were obviously targeted, Seyfarth etc for discipline and Galvin or Sullivan (or take your pick ) in defence. His team had the advantage in size and skills, along with experienced leaders who can execute a game plan that feeds off these strengths. He clearly made tactical adjustments at halftime. Given some of our ball handling errors before then, it wouldn't have been too hard to devise a plan that capitalises on these vulnerabilities.

They're aware that with player fatigue setting in and our team's inexperience in high-pressure situations, not only are we ill-equipped to adapt a game plan to counter theirs, but we also struggle to recover from it afterward. They simply took full advantage of this - as every other team that has beaten us has.
Great post @Lauren and fully agree with what happened in that 2nd half. Our bench was poor also.
We have forwards who jog onto the ball. If I was making my 1st grade debut at the age of 26 (Porter) i would have ripped in like I was playing my first and last game in the NRL.
Our bench offered nothing to counter anything thrown at us.
We need effort players who run hard and work their tail off - Api is trying all on his own and we as a club are waiting for the kids that won a SG Ball comp 2 years ago to be our saviors yet by the looks of it we are killing their development with the mishaps of the NSW Cup side and Jersey Flegg.

Sam will most likely join Wayne at the Bunnies next season.

Bulas form has also dipped a bit but his effort is still there
