OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

These players that want out are a part of the problem in a losing team , it’s time they man up and help their mates dig themselves out of the hole instead of carrying on like sooks and thinking they can go elsewhere
Agree, under normal circumstances you would expect that. So why do they see it as mission impossible?

Can hardly blame Stefano, Galvin and others wanting out though. Who wants to play week in week out with some of the idiots we have in the squad making dumb errors costing us a chance every game and knowing nothing but losing.

How long will it take to change this squad? They move at glacier pace …JL and Turuva in whilst Ice and likely Stef out … so not really an improvement to the squad overall…

At this rate a Top 8 team is years away … why wait around if you have 8 other suitors like Stefano supposedly has ?

So you think Stef should leave because Stef is leaving.
You've outdone yourself there.

I don't think this is Galvin at all. It's a DH player manager and his parents behind the agitation in my view. Not sure if its to coerce more money (as this would be on the cards anyway). The concern is they don't believe WT can be better in the future, even with the likes of Luai committing.

Yep.
This has all the hallmarks of a stage dad with just enough knowledge of rugby league to be dangerous, living through his kid.

He’s more likely to be upgraded and extended than he is to be given a release.
I think under Benji , if he asked to be let go he will get it , I don’t think Benji wants players in this team like that , could be wrong but we must also think of the other 30 odd players watching this and think I’m playing with a guy who don’t want to be hear and my mate is in reserve grade busting his butt and just missing a start , want to be hear and this dik is in the road

100% this is spot on , we need to ask him to find a new club and that club can give us a firs t grade, players in a position we need and pay us $ 250 k per year for 2 years towards that new player , same amount we probably pay Galvin now or pay us $ 500 k for the release

we have no idea what’s happening behind the scenes… it’s not exactly a stretch to think some highly in demand kid doesn’t want to remain here …particularly when he sees how easy for the likes of Ice and Liddle to be moved on ..

Well that’s not true because he’s already asked and been denied. Please don’t buy into the “he’ll release players if they don’t want to be here” line because that’s rubbish. Each situation will be treated differently. Was easy with Ice because the club was not getting any value for money whatsoever. With a young kid, with a big future, currently on minimum wage, they aren’t going to say “sure, you can go”. I find it mind boggling that people are encouraging the club to release any player who asks for a release and the ridiculous precedent that would set. What happens if 15 players want out under that scenario? It’s not feesible. You have to treat every player on their own merits.
