OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Thursday, before Friday night's game. He also mentioned
He is meeting with Lachlan's mother & father next
week. The agitation to get out of his contract from
Isaac & Co stinks and is a cause 4 concern. The
painkillers are too, he's still only 18. When will it end lol

This is a pretty sad situation.

To ask for a release on Thursday the day before a game is quite ordinary. To ask for a release when he is getting more at this club in 2024 then he would have at any other club is ordinary.

Once again I will stress how pathetic and disgusting the NRL are. The way they allow Isaac Moses to do what he does is yet another example how weak they are.

This is poor character from Lachlan, but he is a kid really. We all remember when we were 18 and being influenced by people we trust and love (his parents in this case). No doubt his parents just want what's best for him, but we all know the result last time there was a parent way too involved in their sons career, it doesn't end well for us.

Just on the future, I'm not going to say that Latu or Galvin is the better player. Galvin has attributes that are better then Latu, while Latu has attributes that are better then Galvin.

What I will say is though, our backrowers, centres and fullback will all prefer to play outside Latu rather then Galvin. I'll put my house on that.

If I was to compare the 2 to established stars in regards to how they engage the defence to create space for their outside men, Galvin is like a slower Munster, while Latu is more like a Cliff Lyons, Cody Walker combo.

We have to get Latu's body right.
If we keep Latus other 2 brothers on the books he will stay

I said this would happen , stepho will go , Galvin will follow , the two Penrith players will say they have mental issues and can’t come , I just can’t see how the club is going to get out of this , we buy backs , put gave no forwards , we buy forwards but have no backs it’s just a crap circle

And we must not loose sight of the fact that “Onitoni Large” Is not too many years away. HE is the one the Club must make the priority to retain to long term contract.

Mate if his heart isn’t in the joint, why keep him….dont you want players that actually want to be here and put in for the club…FFS 10 weeks ago Galvin was quoted as wanting to form a Dynasty within the club and the young guys coming through….first bad trot he experiences and he wants out…. Go I say and don’t let the door hit you on the way out son….
I hear your pain however probably 90% of the Players aren’t putting in so you might as well show the door to basically the whole team. St George refused to let.Ben Hunt leave He didn’t want to be there, but look how he’s playing.(he requested the release from his contract last year as well.)

True, very true....winning fixes everything...Look how happy the Dogs players are this year...I'm still peeved how our season has panned out, last Friday nights second half was abysmal

Totally agree champ, for me Latu is the keeper and injuries have just stopped him being above Galvin. Latu and Luai combo would be deadly.

Ahhh yes. He now becomes a must keep.

If Galvin leaves I'd be throwing my eggs in the Large basket. Wouldn't surprise me if TDS followed Galvin to Penrith, but the upside of that is you can then convince the 2 large brothers they have a future in the same NRL team.

Wow. That all changed quickly. Latu never played a full game. How fickle we are!!!!
He has played a lot more games against men than Galvin ever has and has produced the goods in KOE a shedload more than Galvin, he has also represented his country in a pretty strong side. I think Galvin is a good player but the way some people carry on you think he was scoring tries each week and carving up regularly. He has played some strong games but people labelling him now as the next Brad Fittler are on hard drugs. If he wants to go that bad I believe a combo of Latu and Luai will quickly have people saying Galvin who.
