My opinion is Richo is trying to secure an experienced middle who leads by example with effort & talk, and is strong for post contact metres & defensively. Someone with a similar spirit to Bateman.

My opinion is Richo is trying to secure an experienced middle who leads by example with effort & talk, and is strong for post contact metres & defensively. Someone with a similar spirit to Bateman.

I’d say Dupree, Lees, Knowles and McMeeken would all do that

Cheers! My money is on one of them. I guess McMeeken provides that versatily in being able to play middle or edge. Knowles lock or smallish prop plus could relieve Api at hooker for short spells too, though havent seen him play any dummy half in recent times.

Junior Nsemba is going to be a great player. He’s already playing well and is only 19 I think.
There’s a young prop at St Helens called Noah Stephens. He's only 18 but has the potential to be the best prop in SL. He’s played a couple of first team games so far this season

From what I’ve seen of him it’s the way he runs the ball in. He seems to go all in without fear. He’s only young so I think people are excited about how much more he can develop

Everyone sees things differently and it's all about opinions but I don't think that half of the names mentioned in here even come close to cutting it in the NRL.

Noah Stephens is also a great shout (not sire who just mentioned him) but at 18 and having only played 3 games I can't see him jumping across to the NRL. He has a HUGE future ahead of him though.

TBH & I’m pretty confident our target is an experienced middle. Just listening to Richo since he joined, our external recruitment will be based on positional & chacteristic need and unlikely youth so our pathways players can see a future. We need experience, we need leaders & we need high intensity / aggression amongst our pigs. I’m on the Knowles, Lees & maybe Dupree train.

“ He goes all in without fear”, certainly wouldn’t fit the Tigers style, does he do a little skip like Klemmer and Twal or go missing like Stef ?

I just hope he didn’t go all that way to sign just 1 player we need at least 3-4 forwards , and we need these signing to be made public now so the players now that help is on the way it might just stop stepho and Gavin from wanting to leave

The team this week has 11 pacific islanders who play the same power game. We need a knowles type to balance that out.

I forgot about Havard. He definitely should be on the list. I mentioned Noah Stephens as I’ve been impressed with him in the games he’s played
