Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I would have thought by now another NRL team would have spoken about Bud as a swap for one of their players in a position that we need filled
Bud 6/7 swap for ? Back row / Prop / wing / Centre similar coin or
say a prop worth $ 400 for Bud and we kick in $ 50 k that’s if the $ 500 for Bud correct ,

Richardson does business behind close doors - no media. I am sure he is trying as hard as he can to strengthen the roster. We know he is good at this kind of business.

I hope your correct as we have got Luai coming along with Turuva but I just don’t feel it’s enough , Luai will,be a big addition , Turuva will be a good addition , we need 2 more good additions then blend in a couple of the young guys , we also need to get Stef signed up and sorted asap

I posted at the start of the year that there’s rumblings Moses wants out of Parra - he wants a premiership and had doubts in the preseason about them having the ability to do so and has told a few people close to him he wants out. Seems like it’s starting to boil over.

With how they’ve gone this year at this present moment of time being equal last and their coach getting sacked I’d watch this space. Especially if Issac is the manager pulling the strings for his own nephew.

The whispers are he wants the Roosters move but I’m unsure on if the feelings are mutual.
Ultimate brat, zero loyalty. I’m sure every player would love a premiership but why not stick with the club you supposedly love and be part of bringing them back into the mix. Despite their bad season there is still plenty of upside in that team to possibly get back into contention In the future. No, let’s all go to the Roosters because we desperately want to play in a team of Origin players and win a premiership. They haven’t actually won one for a while now but you know…

Besides Mitchy, the Roosters have bought The Chad, they don’t need you! Why they bought the Chad I don’t know. Seems a strange signing to me, not who I would expect them to chase, but I’m sure they have good reasons.

Why would they speak to us unless they had a player they wished to offload as well. NRL clubs aren't in the business of caring about the welfare of other clubs. The first issue is resolving whether Sullivan wants to go at all ? If he doesn't potential dealings aren't going to happen. Same with all the other players people nominate to move on.

Player swaps aren’t a thing.

Bud has shown nothing to make a club want him as their prime half or next in line option this year.

That will impact both the other clubs but us as well on release terms.

His salary and the amount we would need to cover is terrible for his performances. Even if we paid him out the portion that would hit this/next years cap would be considerably large than normal because of it being year 1 of a long deal. We might not have the space to cover that or it would impact our ability to gain a player because of the payout.

Just to clarify the source I have regarding this topic is someone close to Moses.

I was also told he hates the Tigers and never wanted to or wants to come back.

So rule us out lol even though Luai is 1000% the better fit for us anyways.

He’ll never win a premiership and I’ll take a lot of amusement watching him continue to fail with that goal.

This is my take Moses > Roosters , Walker > Broncos, Sullivan > Eels

I’m not sure if people have seen - this isn’t from a source from my end but there’s some rumours on Facebook circulating that Cobbo might want a fresh change in Sydney and looking to leave QLD. Not sure on the truth levels of that headline but definitely interesting.

However, what I did report (from a source) that the club was looking at launching a serious bid for Cobbo come November 1st. Maybe it could potentially be something to look for….. us having interest means nothing if Cobbo wants to stay in QLD though.

a SOO winning half ... you are right no place in our team
I think we have other areas we need to invest in first. NSW forwards completely dominated QLD last week. We could have luai and moses together and still miss finals. Parra have a better forward pack (underperforming this year) with Moses/Brown halves and were last. Watching the game live last week, the halves isn't the issue anymore. We've got plenty to choose from. It's the running metres from our back 3. Bula gets driven back every time. Staines does. Tupou is good but he's leaving. I thought Luke was good last week. We need a new second rower in replacement of Papali'i and Bateman most likely (Porter is good but not a weekly player imo). Stef and potentially Klemmer will be going leaving just Twal and Pole up front. Seyfarth is good off the bench. So we don't need more halves. We need Bula to build up muscle over the next off season. He likes running and getting involved, but doesn't have the physicality left. I think the previous off season the coach tried to build up his playmaking, but should have worked on maximising his strengths first which is running

Throw massive money at him. He's got heaps of potential, origin, grand final rep, young, versatile, humble, best ahead of him. And we need a centre/winger for next year (another backup fullback if Turuva or Bula is not available)

I think we can bury Moses coming back.
We offered him a huge deal a little while back but he rejected it, so don’t think he will change his mind.
Yep. I think attitude is the biggest thing when signing a player. Last time we signed a decent parra player he ended up taking it easy (Papali'i). Moses is much better but I don't think we'd see his best at this point in time at our club

Fresh start and Sydney are two words that probably don't belong together, especially for a guy from QLD. Should definitely have a crack regardless, but im sceptical.
