OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

That makes more sense considering they have Walker.
Definitely makes more sense to me
But in reality of the roosters they go for rep players first and foremost. They also strike when a top line player hits the market
This is why imo Galvin isn’t in their sights just yet imo

We don't have to prove anything to players. They're paid to play for us and they need to do their job. The stefano contract, the way Brooks and Woods felt entitled and like they were doing us a favour by playing, it's all the wrong way around. These are massive contracts just to play footy. It's a privilege to play footy and for too long Tigers players think they're doing enough just by showing up. The problem at our club is that everyone is always looking at someone else to make the change, to put the effort in, to lift the side, and blaming everyone but themselves for the way they play...except Api, he does everything.
Sounding like a HBG board member mate. 😜
I think the issue is lack of trust, which may have developed because of our ability to attract mercenaries.

Brown is a rep player. He’s a Kiwi.

Galvin will make up his mind to stay or leave mid way through next year… if he doesn’t see us competing for a top 8 spot, his manager will shop him to other clubs, just like Stefano is doing…

The Roosters maneuvering is symptomatic of a stranglehold on available halves in the market. Our club has signed Fainu, Large and Galvin. We have Sullivan, Luai imo the best half at present and the wily Sezer. This latest stuff about Moses is similar to what we heard with the Galvin stuff. The noise emanates from somewhere and what is the connection between the two? There are powerful clubs in need of players in crucial positions.

Roosters still haven’t signed Walker long term, he is free to talk to other clubs in November about 2026. There was rumours brizzy, GC or Phins might have a play at him if he wants to come home to QLD. If that happens Roosters will definitely be having a play at every top young half talent in the game

Do you believe the Roosters aren't in the market now? Keary is gone and they need a replacement. All the noise around Galvin and now Moses. Shake the tree and see what falls?

Yea I agree with you & roosters usually get who they want. I think we will definitely see someone asking for a release to replace Keary. Politis probably already has it all lined up I’d say, there is 0 chance Townsend is playing first grade for them next year

I might be having a mental blank but I don’t recall it player getting out of a contract to go to roosters.
All politis has to do is say before you negotiate your next contract come and see us and the player knows it is worth while to.
Every year a decent player comes on the market and they just wave the dollars if they want them.
I know gagai turned them down but I don’t think they were paying enough for him to move family
And I’m not sure I have an opinion on Fifita not signing

I’m sure they would have sometime over the years but yeah I see your point & it is right. The Thing is Moses & Brown have contracts like Stef from what I’ve heard in the Media, so technically they are ‘free agents’ if they activate the clause.

Of course they will have a crack at Galvin but that’s still a long time away unless something changes this off season. I hope Fainu is given a chance at 5/8 for a few weeks this year to see if he is capable, just in case Galvins manager tries his rubbish again when seasons over

I don't know where he will go but it'd be 100 to 1 for him to re-sign with us unless he gets injured or his form drops massively.

He's made it clear that he wants to chase wins and I can't see us winning many games even with Luai here. I get the Tedesco, Papali'i and even Matterson vibes from him.

To be fair, I don't begrudge him that much if he chooses to leave once he can legally hit the open market.

He knocked back an upgrade for his current contract by not extending,
Unless he has a complete change of heart I can’t see him resigning with us at a later date.

That does leave a little bit of doubt, doesn't it?

Secretly hoping Latu Fainu makes it a null point.
