I feel like benji got ambushed by his players or some players against sharks.it ll be very interesting to see how he reactsI agree. Benji says all the right things IMO. In fact when he talks I have more faith in him then whenever any previous coach has spoken. I reckon Benji knows his stuff, but knowing your stuff isn't enough. You need the experience in learning how to implement it, how to manage different players, how to deal with a disgruntled player, how come down hard and when to come down hard. All this comes with time and experience. Benji has an aura about him as a player, but not as a coach. We need a coach that walks into a room and players feel his aura. Im curious to hear a little about this Brian McDermott
Oh I do. 80 mins of hard effort and slowing ball to their Johnson side is a good way to start. Not sure we can improve enough to win against the Rabbits. But there is always hope.
Only if Doueihi is dropped!!Oh I do. 80 mins of hard effort and slowing ball to their Johnson side is a good way to start.
Imo Tigers to win this week. A really crap performance is invariably followed by a much better one.
We could attack the side Milne plays on and hope we could rely on him making mistakes but unfortunately his brain power would be superior to our teams. Battle of genius footballers, he’d win hands down. Geez we are dumb…..Oh I do. 80 mins of hard effort and slowing ball to their Johnson side is a good way to start.

Matthew Head ?
We had Matthew Head. Tim Sheens rushed him. Wanted a miracle overnight....I’m a fan of head. We all need head.
After this afternoons team selections, he needs a psychiatrist. We had Matthew Head. Tim Sheens rushed him. Wanted a miracle overnight....
I like this Hal,I’m a fan of studying stats that highlight successful teams. It can form the basis of correct and focused training.
Got this online but worth sharing imo !
The
5 Imortant Things to Make You Succesful
1. Kicking game, both depth and chase
2. Dangerous backline
3. Defence, both quality and quantity
4. Strong forwards, especially back 3
5. Ball control ( low errors)
3 Things That Aren’t real Important
1. Offloads
2. Dummy half runs
3. Random tackle breaks
Plenty to think about there ! Let me know your thoughts.
See how the top 5 helps focus major areas for improvement.
Some astute observations J, thanks. But it’s all spitballing if our coaching staff don’t get it, and I’m not sure they do !I like this Hal,
it is great methodology to contrast our wins and losses against, particularly last week since it is so raw.
1. Kicking game - Sezer - rubbish, both depth and height. Galvins short game was OK. Chase - almost non existent. Compare that to the quality of the kick chase v Canberra.
2. Dangerous Backline - has to be off the back of go forward. Last we we were predictable with no effort, een though we lost agaisnt Melbourne we stripped them of numbers on several occasions. What happened between those two games? Let's face it we need some strike, but the capability is there with what we have, we just aren't producing.
3. Defence - Galvin is a problem, he turns in whe he shouldn't and upsets that edge. AD - FFS his reads are pathetic - he either over commits or doesnt commit at all. I can't imagine what is must be like defending inside or outside of him.
4. Back 3 v Sharks game 1 - pressured Hynes and really took the game to them game 2 - did we have anyone out there in the second half. But last week you can lay the balme at the feet of Stef and Klem - pea hearts in attack and defence. They did not set a platform to allow anyone go forward.
5. Ball Control - our errors and discipline are simply not up to first grade - when we win we tend to have them in check - but when we can't control the ball and we defend a lot - we just drop off (not fit enough?)
All this can be overcome. I would add one more to your list and it should be No 1 on the list of our Wests Tigers. - Win the collision!
Win the collision on both sides of the ball and you go 90% of the way to winning the game! Its all about attitude.
Arthur arrives:Brad Arthur for the rest of this season and all next year , move Farah into front office , Arthur to assist in clean out , Attack structure , and also recruitment , plus he helps us stay above Parra who get the spoon
