Benji, this is your chance

At our current rate of decline we will end up conceding over 30 points a game for the season.A new club record that we don't want or need
We've got some high scoring games coming up....
  • Rd21 Warriors away could be anything. Their form sucks but they did flog Brisbane last time they were at home.
  • Rd22 Cowboys are hot and cold but Origin is over now...should be a pantsing
  • Rd23 Knights at Newy..theyve underperformed this year, time for a statement?
  • Rd24 Rabbits again. Maybe theyll be boosted with 2 of the 4 internationals who were missing last weekend back on deck?
  • Rd25 Manly will see a host of our exes out to prove a point. Their backline is roughly twice as fast as ours.
  • Rd27 Parra take us on in the great SpoonBowl. This will be a very high scoring game.

I'm surprised but it seems finally benji got the balls to drop bateman, doueihi and klemmer
But he left Luke Lualli on the wing! Despite the frustration with Naden , he’s in a different league to a small young winger with poor hands and no bomb catching ability. Get real Benji

Injured or being rested aren’t they ?
You watched Porter play NSW Cup on the weekend didn’t you ? His performance did not warrant being promoted to NRL.
Do you think Faatape and Laulilli are better outside backs than Doueihi ?

Douehi needs a rest after 5 games ?
Klemmer needs a rest after 20 minutes last week ?

I’d be near certain Doueihi didn’t ask for a rest.
Benji playing favourites and not calling out all mistakes and missed tackles, only a selected few, will do nothing but alienate the playing group and lead to results being ever worse than they have been over the past 3 weeks.

He has had enough of the senior guys not performing I can only assume

At least we can hope that LL will put in a good performance. There’s potential. Naden on the other hand is godawful, and we already know that’s what we’d get.

Doueihi has run the ball 99% of the time when he's touched it. His attitude is far worse than Faatape and Laulilii. It's all about him. He's more talented in attackr, but he's worse than Faatape in defence, but he's also not a team player. None of them should be playing first grade.

I reckon Benji needs one more year before he is crucified. I get that Luia won't save us by himself but who is to say that some other strong, solid signings aren't going to be made before next season starts. I trust Richo and think that behind the scenes plenty is going on. Forwards are desperately needed but at least we know that Sam and Sione Fainu are up for it, same as Fonu Pole. Sign some experienced forwards and things look a lot better, Pommie wimp, Meathead Klemmer and Mice aka Papali are disgraceful.
Hang on. Benji was pivatol in the 5 year plan, which last I heard, became a 4 year plan so are you saying we’re progressing even faster than initially thought? making the plan now 3 years?

Mean while the fans are being crucified every week. FFS - get a real coach before the whole club implodes...
There were also plenty of fans who thought Benji would be a good idea, not just the owners, so I think we need to give him the 4 years. They need to stick with it, that’s how plans work. I don’t know if the club has stuck to any plan they’ve had, have they?

Give him more time to turn things around …but

You don’t persist with a plan that isn’t working

I would reassess after 2025. A lot hinges on his ability to recruit players in the next 18 months.

You’re right it’s not smart to do that. But it’s also not smart to map out a plan with a time horizon and then less than halfway there scrap it. The goals are always the same I would think? We’ve had 25 years to build policies, procedures and goals built around desirable outcomes, but they seem to get cut short before having the opportunity to succeed? Some of the most successful organisations in Australia started with nothing but a blueprint for success, and the one constant in that journey has been time.

And many more unsuccessful organisations have come and gone … a lot because they refused to change when things weren’t going to plan…

I can’t recall the last time I have seen a professional sporting organisation persist with a coach through 4 years of poor results … Souths got rid of Madge 3 years after winning a premiership after going 7th, 12th , 12th…

I’m just saying the club needs to focus more on continuous and consistent improvement, rather than “change.”
Change is not always good, as this club has consistently proved. It makes the owners look like they’re doing something and put fans and supporters on the back foot for a short period.
Ive been banging on for a few years now about how part of our road to success has to be “improving the reputation of our players” but nobody is listening. 😂
