Interesting he rejected 5 x $800k from us for 3x $900k for them. Kind of reinforces his comments about playing in a successful team, rather than just the money. Biggest issue appears to be how he will settle in and survive away from family in Melbourne.

Shouldn't be too bad, North Sydney Oval not too far from home. 🤣

The Tigers’ roster overhaul has now extended to Bateman, who is poised to join Sam Burgess’ Warrington in their quest for a Super League title.

Burgess phoned Richardson earlier this week – the pair have a long relationship from their time at South Sydney – and asked if they would consider releasing the English international for the rest of the season.

Bateman’s exit will free up a further $150,000 in the Tigers’ salary cap, with Richardson and Marshall already having more than $1 million to spend next season. It will be close to $2 million if Utoikamanu doesn’t take up the Tigers’ deal.

I watched Parker last weekend. Zero runs. Attempted 6 tackles, made 3, missed 3 for 3 tries. Parked out on the wing most of the time. No thanks.

Benji and Richo better have some forwards in mind because it’s looking very very likely that come 2025 all of Stefano, Papalili and Bateman will be leaving.

Luai’s talent is too good to waste and if we don’t give him the right pack to succeed we’re gonna have another decade of humiliation.

Seems like Stefano has lost faith in the direction of the club and I can’t blame him - but at the very least we better be making some moves otherwise Galvin will be out just as quick come November 1st next year.

I haven’t lost faith in Benji and Richo to get this done…. I still think those two are going to be the duo to lead us out of this mess.

There’s nearly $2.5 million in the cap there. We have to spend the lion share of that money to be cap compliant, the signings thread will be busy come September/October.
