Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’d love to compare those numbers with other players on same money. I don’t disagree just interested. What does AFB record?
I'm looking at nrl.com now and post contact metres afb is #1 at 1326..

Tigers don't enter the mix till #37 with Pole at 822m. Stefano is #41 with 795 metres.

I don't know how to find the comparison stat's for average per game

Or playing out of position without notice.. like yesterday
No, he was terrible on the wing also.
I’m thinking he’s playing injured as he’s submitting to the tackle before it happens, hesitating upon contact, stopping and waiting for support when there is daylight in front of him.
Any of the backs currently in our top 30 would have scored 3 tries if in Turuva’s position yesterday.

That makes perfect sense as they have been our only 2 forwards regularly bending the line.

You have to do some maths.

He’ll thrive over there. I see another Dally M in his future
re Papalii ...

I think the point is he hit max form at Parra, and he never got out of second gear here.
I don't know why. Maybe Madge may have driven him, most likely not. ...

It sucks. Because we built a monster pack in Paps, Klemmer and Bateman. We should have been steamrolling teams but hey some people don't want to work for a 6 figure paycheck.

Nothing will have changed if Paps stayed here. Nothing...

I also suspect he will go good but not great at the Riff. He is replacing James FH and those are HUGE shoes to fill. Could be a lot like when we brought Blare. Meh we will see.

You need to be careful with individual stats as firstly it depends on the style of play of the team a lot. That's not to say AFB isn't a great prop he is but also some teams like Warriors and Raiders in particular run a lot more play through their front rowers so they get more meters, more post contact meters whereas others have different styles.

For example Stef and Pole are top 5 for decoy runs which as a prop means you ran hard used the same energy but get no meters or opportunity for it but they don't decide on if it gets passed to them or not.

He is, but it is definitely helped by being in a great side with great acquistions over the off season. Connor Tracey has gone mental in 2024, without critta on the weekend had 3 tries and 3 try assists against the broncos. One of the many utilities they bought which people laughed at. If you put critta in our team with our coach in benji as opposed to ciraldo we're not in the top 8, it's as simple as that. And that's my point
I think there was another smart move by the Bulldogs with Critta and knights with Best.

Spend the money on Centers who take the field. There are Stacks of 5/8 in the NRL who want the big halfback dollars. But fewer people who want to play Center, because the paycheck is less. Buy gun Center's instead of 5/8's, you need twice as many centers as 5/8.

Maybe if the club had given them a 1/2 s pairing they might have preformed better , so next year we have a much better backline but no forwards , so will we call out our gun 1/2s for not preforming, without any forwards
