Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The Sharks won't let anyone go under contract. Fitzgibbon likes to keep the squad together. Their young prop, Jesse Colquhoun, is a good young forward. Injured now and trying to get him away from the Sharks would be challenging. I shudder at some of the names mentioned in this thread.
Surely the sharks can’t keep all there forwards happy and there cap must be in trouble with the warriors prop coming next year .
Please explain, why u are shuddering with names mentioned???

Vicious like the post but relation to Mikaele Ravalawa - Big strong and powerful winger who mainly plays on the left. Hell no dumb player who is lazy.

I'd like to see Latu play half a game anywhere on the field without injury at some stage before I would even dream of him playing 80 minutes in the middle.

I'm beginning to think that his mother was not joking about him always being injured.
A bit on fare , he coped a hip while making a tackle hardly that’s a always been injured

I like Colquhoun because he is one of those players who continues to work hard on his game. He incrementally improves each year as I hope many of our players will do. No idea how the Sharks can keep them all although the Shire is a good locality.

I shudder because some of them are so ill-disciplined or simply not NRL standard. We need good young players like Colquhoun who are prepared to work and play hard.

PS Colquhoun is not a Sharks' junior. He is from the Illawarra so I don't know how he ended up at the Sharks.

I agree with u , but we have to have some mongrel in the pack , we have been so soft it’s like have ice cream as our pack , we need to beef it up and have some kids in there too

Mongrel doesn't have to come hand in hand with ill-discipline. Some of those players are penalty magnets. I prefer the high work rate, good work ethic and low maintenance types. It is easier on our coaching staff and the remainder of the team.

With Dylan Walker asking for a release to head back to Australia, I think he’s a must signing.
His wage is reportedly around 600k which is a bit high, but with the playing style of Luai and Galvin I think he would be perfect as our middle link man.
I have also read we might be looking at Latu Fainu for this role next season, but there is no way he will be ready to play anywhere near 80mins in the middle, so sharing the role and learning from Dylan Walker would be ideal.
I think Jazz Tevaga could do the job too at lock. Galvin the other option next year

In terms of depth signings….

I do know we made a very competitive offer to Jamie Humphreys from Manly and were extremely close to signing him however he took a last second deal from South Sydney instead.

Seems like we’re trying to make some depth spine signings more particularly.
I am missing something, why would we be making more spine depth signings , we got more than we can use , makes no sense

Walker would be an outstanding bench player coming on at lock but also covering Hooker, the halves and centre. I mean how great would it be to have those spots covered by a quality player if injuries strike during a game. It makes so much sense to make a play for him.

Really surprised Reimis Smith is heading overseas. Thought we would be all over that.

I have loved watching Fox over the years but he is on his way out. Has the added pitfall of helping the dogs clear cap space.

Out of the three Skelton is the best medium term prospect.

Knight on a train and trial deal nothing more.

Walker, Horsborough and Skelton would be decent recruitment. Still a top line backrower short though. I would like Walker for Sezars spot in the squad but i remember Kade indicating Sezars option had been taken up

Reimis is only heading overseas for the remainder of the season. he’s still very much a free agent.
