I think king was from the Roosters or manly I think. Liles was a north coast Titans rep in Andrew Johns cup, played for Tweed seagulls most recently. A promising debut, interesting if he's suddenly jumped Teaupu and Matai (whom seems to have disappeared completely - injured I presume)

Good to get a win, we'd been falling back to the pack rapidly in recent weeks. Sad that Saukuru got demoted. A shame they couldn't win by more, but at this stage a wins a win

I only caught the last few mins of Flegg so can't comment on Saukuru's game but from the little I know, the coaching staff rate him. Benji was at the game and called him over for a chat after the game.

I think what we need to remember is their is no shame for a 19 yr old to drop back to Flegg - that's where he would be full time at most clubs
There isn't .

Clubs who've had great talents have rarely rushed them into first grade like we do - out of sheer desperation. Luai played several years in the lower grades before getting a shot in NRL. As did To'o, Faalogo at Storm. Even Grant got loaned out to a reserve grade side to get experience before playing NRL.

Highlights of Jersey Flegg v Roosters is up on NSWRL website. Last game in the video.

Nice grubber try assist, backing-up try & match-wining field goal by the newcomer Max Liles.

Once again very smart & classy play from Bailey Hodges to make the line break and set up Liles for the try. Big fan of this lad!

What’s the point of playing Zac Clarke now he’s signed with the riff?
We still developing for other clubs?
Interesting point you raise Buttface.
You are right in saying he is effectively taking the place of someone else who we could be developing to play a part in our club moving forward.
I would say the issue is Zak Clarke is virtually the only genuine tackle busting, line breaking edge back rower in our lower grades, makes you wonder how we let him go that being the case.

Yeah I’m disappointed, I was looking forward to seeing him develop at our club.
But it’s lower grades and as much as it’s nice to win those grades, we only remember the NRL winners.

I hear Faagutu is not playing today as he’s serving a one match ban for being put on report twice last week. Must’ve been over aggressive in defence

Our Flegg forward pack today looks very good.
I was trying to get there to watch, but won’t be able to make it, is anybody on here going who can provide updates and player analysis?
