Richo and Benji have had nearly 12 months to change directionYeah I get that too. We always have excuses though. The previous management also suggested a few years back we are (will be) a destination clubYeah I get that too. We always have excuses though.
They proved their position over 5+ years
This...Disagree mate, heaps is different.
We're not panicking and getting contracts to the right players.
I can't wait till 2026.
Richo started mid Jan - that's 7 monthsRicho and Benji have had nearly 12 months to change direction

I think the stef contract was played out perfectly. Offered him slightly above market value. This signals that we wanted him (knowing full well he was probably going to jump ship). If he decided to stay he would have bought into the long term plan and his form would have gone through the roof.Kinda like when they identified Stefano as a priority retention and offered him stupid money along with it a few months back?
Where does your blind confidence (or ignorance) come from?
Pole has 3 months before he goes to market and he won’t be around the joint for 2 of them….
If he goes to market - I think you’ll find he’ll have 6-8 clubs chasing him….
You’ll find there’s more interest in him around the game than there is for Stefano….
That along with him still being under contract is why there’s no noise…
And also, it may be that the "new" players are still contracted etc with their current clubs - so things cannot be made public at the minute.This...
Yes we are shedding players, but not signing just anyone as replacements. Signings seem to be more carefully selected than previous administrations.
I wish we were racing out to give nuffies $900,000.00 four year deals again 😂🤣😂Disagree mate, heaps is different.

The club sacked Pascoe mid December. A month after pre-season started. He’s had very limited opportunity to do anything yet given we don’t even have many spots free in our top 30. Any pile on is just ridiculously premature.Richo and Benji have had nearly 12 months to change direction
Yes. It’s disappointing he couldn’t strike early, but I’d think a ceo needs a good year on the role barring any issues. The club sacked Pascoe mid December. A month after pre-season started. I’d call Luai striking early and doubt he would have signed if the club didn’t take the actions it did.Yes. It’s disappointing he couldn’t strike early, but I’d think a ceo needs a good year on the role barring any issues.
As the season draws to a close, we can look forward to a shake up of the footy department except Benji.
If we have keep Benji, let’s get him some proper help because I think we have underperformed.
I’d like to think JL will keep us honest out in the middle.
Always said he was a shit head.Kikau took it a step further and identified as a toilet brush:

And had his hair styled to help him unite with and become one with the eternal deity of the white porcelain.
Far be it for us to judge.
It's not even been nine months!Richo and Benji have had nearly 12 months to change direction
Townsend isn’t even likely to start next year.Roosters have signed Townsend for 1 year so they are expecting to get somebody by the end of that time. don't know whether it’s Moses or Galvin.
???Who were the idiots that decided Conti was not worth keeping?? Man this kid has improved from last season.

WHY.
Best post ive read for a while. But he did strike early. He did get probably the best 2 players available in their position at the time as well.
He nabbed Luai and Turuva within 2-3mths.
He has moved Bateman to UK.
Olam is getting surgery - Storm couldn’t get him to have
Naden/Bud/Tumeth etc are playing reggies is a clear shuffle play to free spots up.
He kept AD for 1yr budget deal & stopped all the Galvin talk.
He did pull the pin on AFB (which I think was silly) and made the dumb statement that Stefano was our Payne Haas (which he was never going to be) & also that he was a priority signing.
When you have 800k+ incentives tied in negotiations it limits the additional moves you make with limited roster spots. The market has up until recently been bare also.
Now he has cash, an additional roster spot or 2 with the market turning around - so his output over the next 3-6mths (nov window for 26 when we have a heap of roster spots/cash) is going to be a good indicator as to who we retain and new blood we bring in - but how players view Benji/Richo as the future.
Potentially maybe…This is a money ball type of decision...
650k and 800K for someone being outshone by a young gun
Samuela is far better than both Paps and Bateman.
Let’s be calm about this!I’d call Luai striking early and doubt he would have signed if the club didn’t take the actions it did.
