So to be clear, your opinion is that when the defensive side is backtracking and a pivot takes the ball to the line, it's the pivots responsibility to ensure all his players are aware the defence is on the back foot? Aka they don't have eyes of their own and have to be instructed to get up?He wasn’t making a break
It's really that basic isn't it?It's more a case that Lachlan is streets ahead of the rest of our duds just like Benji was back in the day
And whether he was making a break or not you would expect your teammates to be supporting you
I watched that piece of play to get context as you provided zero.So to be clear, your opinion is that when the defensive side is backtracking and a pivot takes the ball to the line, it's the pivots responsibility to ensure all his players are aware the defence is on the back foot? Nice ragebait mate not falling for it…Galvin will be a good player that’s for sure but benji was a game changer, sure his career was full of ups and downs but there’s no doubt he was a creative masterGalvin is better than Benji is as a player and he will become one of the greats.
Benji wasn’t consistent his whole career
One great pass - two terrible passes
One great kick - one run on 5th play in our half
Galvin is already showing more maturity than Benji was
Benji as a kid was good bc he had Scott prince and was dynamite that first year
But galvin will out play him over a whole career - just my thoughts
Maybe u have a fair point but in 2005 no one was better than the bunj. Will Galvin win us a premiership, that’s is the question…Galvin is better than Benji is as a player and he will become one of the greats.

No one is saying Galvin is perfect or that it's everyone else's fault all the time.Yeah it couldn’t possibly be the fault of the noob 18 year old.
It’s EVERYONE ELSES FAULT.
Dickhead lol.
Give up mateNo one is saying Galvin is perfect or that it's everyone else's fault all the time.
But when a team has a player of his age (who was playing SG Ball earlier this season), with his raw talent and is genuinely standing out in his first season of the NRL, it's just seems insane to continually point out his flaws without ever giving him credit.
You seem to always have an answer to diminish anything good that someone praises Galvin for.
Can you continue this discussion with me and unpack why this is the case?
It’s not the case. I’ve praised his play on many occasions. I said the other night he had a really good first half and was impressed with not only his play in those tries but also with him continuing to throw those plays at them until they succeeded. I was disappointed with his second half though as he was invisible when we needed to shut them out. Our failure to drive home our advantage afforded them the opportunity to almost steal the win.No one is saying Galvin is perfect or that it's everyone else's fault all the time.

Thank you for the response. It’s not the case. I’ve praised his play on many occasions. Guess which part people focus on?
You’re off your head mateGalvin is better than Benji is as a player and he will become one of the greats.

No he won'tMaybe u have a fair point but in 2005 no one was better than the bunj. Will Galvin win us a premiership, that’s is the question…
There's obviously little structure and no control, no one calling the shots... It's clear at times during games he plays it by ear and doesn't know what he's doing until he does it... How do his backs know what's going on?If after more than 20 rounds it's still a suprise to the outside backs that Galvin is going to take the line on and create space, then they aren't using their brains or they aren't at NRL standard.
The job of outside backs is to be there when the halves create space and overlaps.
Could you imagine blaming the likes of Cleary, Johns and Langer for creating space for the outside backs? Time to swallow your Galvin pill mate and start seeing him for the talent he is.
We’ll see. You’re off your head mate
Agree… but that was 1 yr… and he debuted in 2003.Maybe u have a fair point but in 2005 no one was better than the bunj. Will Galvin win us a premiership, that’s is the question…
