OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

lol. He was inconsistent dude - like anyone could see that.

how old are you?

Tigers winning by 30 points with 20 minutes to go and NO real tigers fan would be confident we would win the game with Benji playing

The tigers during Benji time were hopeless bar those 3 years
50% would definitely be considered inconsistent.

It also gets you to the finals.

His injuries between 05 and 2010 cost him many finals games.

Everyone questioning me is missing the point lol

When as a fan did you ever feel like the tigers were a storm or roosters side when Benji was playing even in the best years?

We would never smash a team and finish them off

We would always let a lead slip

He was just not consistent

Again I’ll say he has the best highlights of any player bar none by a country mile but he’s not in the same league as cronk, Munster, etc bc with Benji and Robbie’s talent in the team we should’ve been in the finals ever year they were fit and we weren’t

You’re entitled to your opinion but you’re comparing him to players who played at stronger clubs with better rosters.

I agree he was an inconsistent player, but a pretty brilliant one. I also believe Galvin will play rep football.

I agree with you. I just think galvin will be a more consistent player like a Munster but with clearys cool head long term. IMHO

lol. You’re cooked. We don’t know what we have haha.

He’s gonna be like Brady was in the NFL

He’ll be the goat !!!

Big string fast fit hungry amazing ball passes and skills and goes after a game and super competitive. He’ll command $1.3m a season on open market come November 1
Lol cut it out.

100%… benji has the best highlight reel of any player in history by so far it’s not funny!

Love Benji
No kid ever played footy in the back yard wanting to be Cameron Smith! Thousands tried to copy Benj. No one ever bought a ticket to a game to see Cameron Smith play, but the turnstiles would spin to see Benj. Smith may well be named an immortal this week, and no argument from me if he is, but as far as influence goes Benji has him covered.

I think you're dead set Dreaming....
The rest of the Squad is Dogsh*t and Luai isn't improving that...
We're 4 Signings away from being competitive.

Galvin is a Franchise Player, And we've already bought ours - for 5 years....

As painful as it is, in reality - We may as well let him go now.
Weather it's now,
Or in 12 months when he signs elsewhere makes no difference to our 25 (And probably 26)
That's one of the most ridiculous posts I've read in a long time. "We may as well let him go now"! Really? Nuts!

I agree … but if I was picking a team and I had to pick either Benji or cam smith I would take cam smith

Cool. That doesn't disprove my idea that if we then keep the others I named that the club is not going to go into meltdown.

I'll give you a tip- all the young talent coming through- the club won't keep them all.

But, if they keep a good chunk, and in key positions- we are good.

Remember that the club chased & paid really good money for Latu Fainu- and they already had Galvin in the club prior to that. Someone rates him.

Only two of those guys have proven they are long term first graders though. Not saying the others won’t be, but there’s no evidence yet.
Yes, to a degree.

Point being, despite having Galvin on the books, the club chased & paid good money to get Latu Fainu to do the same job.

For 5 years.

Then signed Luai to do that job alongside him, for 5 years.

While Galvin was on the books.

Then you've got young Large coming through with enormous wraps on him as well.

Luai is a lock. That leaves 3 talented players fighting for 1 spot. Unless all football judges are dumb, at least one of these guys could, and probably will, leave & we are still left with highly talented options.
