IF Richo can somehow have Galvin extended before next season starts, he will deserve a statue outside concord...
I hate how Gus can talk in the media as there always is a motive. Galvin will know he just needs to wait 12 months, and he will have most clubs interest and unlimited $$$

I don't know what's fair but Richo won't put clauses in contract so do we offer him a 4 year deal starting at 800k to 1.2mil like Luai .. IDK but we need to keep this kid

Lachy set up Staines on one side and then Faaatape was set up 5 mins later against Manly. They both came up with amateur hour forward passes.

That shits been happening all year. Keystone cops.

Yes. Benji has no idea how to coach. This kid would be incredible under a good coach like cleary or even flanagan

Halves get the most credit (dally ms, man of the matches, etc.) but they also get scapegoated the most

It’s a massive myth in our game that’s always been blown out of proportion by leading commentators. Halves own the result.

Watch how most tries are scored in the NRL, if it’s not off a kick (element of luck) then it’s usually off a piece of individual brilliance. Mostly by edge players.

I’m not saying you don’t need good halves, but they sure as shit need good teammates.

I’d have to see those instances again as I can’t remember them clearly. I will say that I came away from that game impressed by the poise and footy IQ of Latu whilst concerned with what I saw from Galvin in parts.
He cramps his outside backs a lot.

Staines was given a one on one in acres of space and decided to pass it, forward. Not his skill set. If he can’t use his speed to score there I give up.

Faatape same but he hogged it rather than creating a two on one, got caught and desperately flicked the ball forward as he got tackled.

Classy outside backs finish those off mate.

Galvin - major flaw in his game is running sideways but again, a good centre changes the angle and cuts back inside. Ours never do. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Staines should certainly do better than he does.
Faataape is a rookie who is on a fast track learning curve. Mistakes will be made.

A Coach can tell you what to do but unfortunately can’t get out there and do it for you.
Some players just can’t read the play.

Can we just CHILL!

Seriously Chill, Not knocking Galvin. Galvin has talent and can play. But he is no Andrew Johns or Thurston level.

As a club player, he will go alright. He won't be getting the Suallii attention or crazy offers that say DCE got from the Titans (1m).

If Galvin starts saying 1m a year or I am leaving... It's a "tell him he's dreaming".

Yes, and I can live with those errors from youth. From Galvin included.

What it does though when we bomb those big scoring chances is it puts pressure on our pigs as they have to defend more than they should. The flow on effect is fatigue and more errors and missed tackles.

It’s a short term issue, hopefully next year guys like Turuva, a fitter Olam, a returning Bula and maybe even Skelton will grab the opportunities that come to them. Our new look forward pack will be forced to defend less sets and we’ll actually be able to build pressure, rather than always chasing the game.

That’s how I dream it up anyway.
