What standards dropped and when?

They debuted in the same fkn game - there was no point where Luciano was firing and ‘then’ his brother got here..

They came in the same pre season…

I had the same concerns, but watching him closely over his past few games he still looks to be quick enough over the first 10 or so metres and still looks to have good lateral movement when defending.
When you consider how many players we have that are turnstiles in defence as our right centre, he could be someone who could plug one hole for us defensively at right centre.
This being said, I think he would suit us best as our right edge back rower, but sharing the role with Seyfarth coming off the bench.

I am hoping whoever plays our right side back rower can play 80 minutes, It’s the middle forwards (Prop, Hooker & Lock) that need to share field time with the reserves.

I’ve always had my hand up. That kid cut a finger and off so he could play footy. That’ll do me.

I’m vague on the details but was he off contract or roosters trying to offload him because his price tag would have been a pretty big hurdle.

Bird is a great buy for 2 years. A proper footballer with experience and not a DH. Durability is questionable I agree however he covers many positions and is a competitor. Embrace it if true.

Hey, everyone (including me) posts the same lame crap, I love a good merlot post and @jirskyr 's translation was one of the posts of the year. Who knew someone spoke @Merlot too? Keep firing Merlot! Well that remains to be seen, I can’t see Penrith releasing him when there is no suitable replacements available.
I’d definately take a chance on Ravalawa possibly rediscovering his best form if we only had to pay him a maximum of 200k per season as for that money it is very little risk.
