What standards dropped and when?

They debuted in the same fkn game - there was no point where Luciano was firing and ‘then’ his brother got here..

They came in the same pre season…

I am hoping whoever plays our right side back rower can play 80 minutes, It’s the middle forwards (Prop, Hooker & Lock) that need to share field time with the reserves.

There has been plenty of cases that prove this wrong when it comes to football players. One of the most recent being Angus Crichton, not wanted by anyone 1 year ago. Sorted his mental health out & now the form 2nd rower of the year. I bet everyone wishes we would have signed him now when roosters were trying to offload him

I’ve always had my hand up. That kid cut a finger and off so he could play footy. That’ll do me.

I’m vague on the details but was he off contract or roosters trying to offload him because his price tag would have been a pretty big hurdle.

Hey, everyone (including me) posts the same lame crap, I love a good merlot post and @jirskyr 's translation was one of the posts of the year. Who knew someone spoke @Merlot too? Keep firing Merlot! And hopefully @jirskyr can translate for us. I love that there was an actual logic in that one and merlot is one of my favourite posters. Don't change Merlot!

Be interesting how next season goes as do think things look a bit different with how we are approaching it already

We signed on something like 6-8 new faces a few weeks back for NSW Cup (which is early) mixed with some of the kids getting NRL run this year stepping back.

Arnt they no longer a feeder team ? Or did someone pick them up ?
It’s pretty easy when you have stability and “elite” reserve graders . In MLB it’s called “4a” . Way too good for reserve grade “triple A” and not good enough for MLB .
The amount of turnover this year was always going to cause major problems for reserve grade and jersey flegg.
If we field our strongest flegg team , I honestly think we would have run the comp . But they’re all in nrl or KOE.
The squad member jersey flegg , almost made the finals . Literally the top 20 players you would have pencilled down for flegg were in other grades .

Yeah.... Maybe (Hopefully)
The young blokes are the ones that have been getting towelled up though
Also more young blokes amongst the new signings.
I'm still adamant they'll need a couple old soldiers there to help bring them through....

It's no shock to me that the last time we were decent in Ressies 09-12
(We've barely made the finals since in 2nds)
was when we were last half decent at NRL level.

Pro Ressies like Meaney, Farlow, Dave Gower, Dessie Nichols scattered amongst the young blokes...
Fantastic for bringing them through.

Believe they 'were' the Ressies for the Roosters Ressies....
Dunno where that is now.
I assume they're going it alone and have bought all the good players kicking about to make some noise for the WA bid inclusion...
(just a guess, but that's what I'd have done)

But there's blokes in that Bears squad that showed a bit of something here
- Reagan Hughes and Jack Boyling I'd have thought were worth keeping about....
