Not a bad time to get Brisbane especially after a tough battle with the Cowboys , Brisbane's forwards would have felt sore and sorry for a few days

It would be worth seeing how many teams play the cowboys in the past 3 seasons and lose the following week ??

My old man up until probably 2010 said that 75% of teams that played Brisbane lost the following week

Would have love to got them 4pm on a Sunday arvo in the heat, but I forgot the Bronks only play Friday night or the odd Thursday night.
They would have burnt some petrol for sure, but also worry about how much juice we have burnt in the last two weeks. Like any team its the very quick men who worry me, Milford and Roberts come to mind

Super coach I reckon a heavy tracks suits us better then Brisbane.

The more rain the better.

Brings Milford and Roberts a peg down.
 
We will fall off in intensity at some stage. We can’t play every game like the first 2 weeks. When we do put in a poorer performance let’s hope we don’t fall far and that it only takes one week to get it back. If this happens we will play finals footy this year.
 
The boys will be up to it on Friday
They will be doing their absolute best to make it 3-0
That will certainly smack the harshest critics in the face if we pull that off
Our odds will drop
Our membership will increase
Our crowds will get bigger
The belief in the players and supporters will soar
And we will be well on the way for a great season ahead
But
We will no longer be flying under the radar of other teams
And we will still have to improve to have a chance of making the finals
The best thing of all
We do it with out the so called big 3
What will They be thinking
I'm sure Woods and Moses are loving the change of scenery
But that's the only thing that's changed for them 2
Their still under pressure and probably more so now then ever
Both Woods and Moses could be 0-3 to start the season

What does any of this have to do with Jack Bird…?
 
I recall a report he was also enjoying a few pies during the off-season.

Definately cant see him making a difference to Brisbane over the next 2-3 weeks.

We should get them, and I hope we use his conditioning [if poor] to score trys down his side of the park.
 
Kahu out, Bird in, so not much difference. Don't care too much who WT are up against as with our squad we will give it a decent shot.

SMH: Jack Bird has agreed to a two-year deal to join the Wests Tigers as the club continues its recruitment spree for 2025.

Bird is yet to sign a contract but informed Tigers representatives on Friday he will take up a deal worth around $400,000 a year with the joint venture club from next season.

Bird, who won a premiership with Cronulla in 2016 and made five State of Origin appearances for NSW, is contracted to St George Illawarra next season but was given permission to explore his options. The Dragons will contribute a small portion of his salary in 2025.

Bird toured Wests Tigers facilities on Monday and has since agreed to join Jarome Luai, Sunia Turuva and Royce Hunt as new Tigers recruits under coach Benji Marshall next year.

The 29-year-old was hoping to secure a three-year deal but the Tigers were only willing to offer him two years. He is expected to put pen to paper in the next few days. The Tigers are also in negotiations with Raiders prop Corey Horsburgh and have signalled an interest in Broncos forward Kobe Hetherington. Hetherington has been given permission by Brisbane to explore options at rival clubs.
