nothing wrong at the moment with Benjie as coach ,the side did not compete as a team,said with a grain of salt as i payed little attention 2nite,nor did i really want 2 ,we just didnt look switched on from the start

Who said he has done well?
2 spoons in a row. We let 750 points in this year. We scored just 463. Many players have gone backwards. We suck in just about every facet of the game.
No indication of learning from mistakes either.
 
Am I missing someone or is this our best 17 for 2025?

I reckon we need another decent back, a prop and a back rower.

That was not the game plan. It should have been 'kids go and play a fast NRL game disciplined through the middle, earn it then take your chance'.

Has that score ever happened before?
You would reckon in the old 3 point try days for sure, but 4 point days?

We need some size in the backs. They are all pygmies except for Bula.

They improved this year and will again next year. Benji has done fine imo, no coach would have done much better. Some may have gotten more out of senior players, but then we wouldn’t have blooded as many youngsters as we did.

Defending with so many younger players is tough, let alone with 12 men. Not saying conceding that many points is ok, however the result makes no difference to progress made or next year. I’m excited.

That was hard to watch. Can’t stand many Eels players so that made it even harder.
We deserve the spoon as we were certainly the poorest team in the comp.

A one line summary of each of our guys tonight:
Mason can’t tackle and is not ready to play fullback in NRL. Tupou still can’t catch. Staines is a poor defender and just doesn’t cut it. Faataape maybe just, as a back up centre. Galvin has some great moments and some ordinary ones. Latu needs more development.
Api needs a holiday and less minutes next season. Uto is a pea heart. Klemmer and Twal are ineffective. Pole needs to increase his workrate. Seyfarth has improved but still needs to stop the errors. Sam F tries hard but is prone to lapses in D. Sukkar had few minutes but looked ok.
One line that fits them all:
Learn to tackle and FFS put the opponent on the ground!!
