Back to Benji, I appreciate the personal sympathy out there for him, but
A: he knew the weakness of the roster,
B: knew he had zero experience,
C; unwisely thought that Tim could coach
And he still drank from this poisoned chalice.
He was always better off being patient and learning the trade without the massive responsibility of a first grade side and the ungiving nature of the game.
But he took his chance and it’s playing out.
But he’s not struggling financially, has other career options, rich and influential friends, a playing legacy, a nice family to care for and if he fails, life will go on.
And he’s kept his toe in the warm shallow water of personal interests, being art and music.
And they say, he was raised properly, has good manners and many other fine personal attributes that will help him deal with people for the rest of his life.
He’ll be a ok post footy career. Move on to bigger and better things.
Worse to worse, he can do night road work for
@Tucker as he powers up new suburbs.
