Conditions can change quickly and the rips are brutal and can be fatal.

Aloe is the best plant for sunburn etc. Easy to grow.

I’d still go the safe route and visit the surf club and ask them direct. They are the experts of that beach.

Plus a chance to meet them and surf club folk are usually friendly.

I reckon they’d be pleased you are interested and taking it seriously. If everyone did that, everyone would be safer including them.

The towns and stuff, they get big during tourist times and then quieter in winter. The locals like complaining about tourists, valid sometimes, but not sensible at other times.

They are increasing the population in coastal areas and that’s fine, but with that comes increased pressure on infrastructure, water and the environment.

All these little towns have pretty interesting histories.

That's about right. The break at the surf club is great for learners and novices. Definitely the best spot if you are going for a swim every morning. Middle Rock which is about 2 klms north along the beach is the best spot for the more experienced.
