Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Packer was just as bad and we forgave him. If we don't sign him, another club will imo.
This might sound controversial, but I reckon there is a distinct difference between being out on the piss and getting into a fight as opposed to stalking, threatening young women, and breaking and entering, and trying to smash a wall down that a 9 year old boy was hiding on the other side of. Plus, with Packer, there probably isn’t a better poster boy in rugby league for rehabilitation than him, having got a Uni degree while he was inside.

His decision is weeks away supposedly, but don’t wait whole heartedly because it won’t be us
Brent Read said on the footy talk podcast that he expects the decision will be announced no later than the end of next week. So could happen anytime.

Mate it wasn't just a pub fight, he stomped on the bloke's head after he lay motionless on the ground. In terms of violence, it's up there with being as bad as it gets. Could have very easily killed him.

I know what he did. Like I said, I know what I said was probably controversial.

I doubt the roosters want to keep paying someone they don’t want & whatever his new club is will probably want him at their training before “weeks” .

He toured the UK with Luai so even if we got him, he wouldn’t come back till he does which is still weeks away

Ready & Weidler talk about the breach notices & Terrell May in this podcast today. Nothing new. Around the 28 min mark, Ready does say he knows a few of the names but won't mention them and they are players the club actually want to keep.
You could not pay me to listen to a podcast with Dunny Weedler and Dumbass.

Is the recent comments from Brandon Smith backing the Wests Tigers and Benji’s stance on reprimanding players returning for pre season out of condition a way of him suggesting he is interested in joining us ?
He’s certainly not worth anywhere near the rumoured 850k per season and I have doubts he’s committed enough for us to consider as a potential recruit, but for the right price he could be very handy to have.

Realistically i'd say it's between us and the Dogs.
We can offer the most money, he can play with one of his best mates in Luai, and his brother can potentially join us later on.
Gus isn't exactly a friend of the May brothers, but Ciraldo is. And there's Crichton and Kikau, not sure how close he is with them.

He wouldn't have even met with the Tigers yet when Cheese talked to him.

Realistically money is his biggest motivator, this is his one shot at a big money deal. And given his brothers struggles, potentially the family's last shot at a big pay day.

No, and no.
