Fonua Pole #257

Great news, apart from Stef we've kept everyone we've wanted to, and losing Stef was a blessing.

Things are definitely looking up.

Crazy. 2 think in the beginning of this season if you
said that losing Stef would be the best thing that
will happen to us by the end of the season I would
have called u all crazy along with me. This recruitment
drive has been legendary starting from Luai down.
it's just the beginning but no more (less) pain I hope

Luai did say himself at his press release gig that our offer wasn’t the best financially to what we offered.

Luai & Api I have no doubts have played an important recruiting role but to say Benji hasn’t been influential in the recruiting is a joke.

It’s clear he is selling the vision and he is getting players buying into it.

Now lets hope he can coach these guys outside of being a salesman.
Even Maguire could coach this side.

I know the whole 'circuit breaker/ Roy Asotasi' analogy gets thrown around a lot with rebuilding clubs, but I can't help but think that the entire course of this club may have been altered simply because of Luai's decision to take on an individual challenge for himself back in January.

I had this thought earlier today. We were on the brink of collapsing I said to myself if we lose Pole I'm done with the club so glad that I am not announcing my departure lol

Sione Fainu
In other player roster news, the club welcomes Sione Fainu to pre-season training.

The 23-year-old middle forward made his NRL debut with Wests Tigers last season and joins the squad after signing a training contract.

I find the wording here odd..."the club welcomes sione...." I mean hes been here for a while already ....is it a different type of contract?
