They need problem solvers, critical thinkers, leaders who are strongly motivated to achieve successful outcomes for Tigers.
If the weak minded can’t be replaced with the strong minded, then we’ll remain anchored to the bottom of the ladder.
Richo is already showing signs of stress. He should never front the media when he’s in that frustrated state. They’re wearing him down.
It was a huge blow to lose Stef, but no need to try belittling the guy. When Flanagan lost his best player in Hunt his public reaction was the kind of positive leadership that we need.
It's always been Richos style. Don't worry about it.

Ummmmmm wests Ashfield is closer to concord than Balmain is …. At most it’s not much difference ! But cool story bro … tell it again
lol there’s your magpies agenda again . Sooo lame !
Who do my kids go for in this apparent replacement team ? The magpies ?
LOL
They’d rightfully ask “who the hell are they “ and “why would I go for a bird that swoops me every spring” . Because that’s how kids think with no attachment .
I know it’s hard for boomers to look outside themselves , but you know the kids who will pay for everything in 10 -20 years , don’t have a clue who your team is .
ThINK ABOUT IT!!

Bugsy Malone was a movie ~ early 80's. The cast consisted entirely of kids. May have been Scott Baio (Chuchee? How the hell do you spell Chaci? I'll go with Chaci) from happy days in the eponymous role.

P.S., I was a kid when it came out and have a good memory; so not some middle-aged, kid movie watching weirdo! 🤣
Might have been a wee bit before Baio's time, because the main star was a pre pubescent Jodie Foster......the sicko that shot Ronald Reagan was obsessed with the Bugsy Malone era Forster and shot Reagan to "Impress her".

No my initial thoughts have not changed in that JOINT-VENTURES divide sporting fans and don't actually unite them. Newtown and North Sydney as sad as it was to see them leave the ARL/ NRL in respect of 1st grade (now both playing NSW Cup) are better off. One cannot forget the failure of the NORTHERN EAGLES Joint-venture, with Manly deciding they could operate successfully without North's (and they have). Have the NRL intervene and appoint independent officials with NO historical ties to either Wests or Balmain (for a minum of 5 years) and then the infighting would cease, and open the licence up to bidders e.g Private ownership, but bury the history of Wests Magpies and Balmain Tigers. If they want to continue to respect their history then let them both apply to play in the NSW Cup and meet for old player reunion days like the Pratten Park lot. The Wests Tigers to commence again with no more past references to Benny Elias, Blocker Roach, Tom Raudonikis or Noel Kelly. Ban supporters from entering any game grounds wearing Balmain or Magpie Jersey's. Commence a brand new culture called the WESTS TIGERS as this current joint-venture mish-mash is sadly a mess.
Norths was an increibly strong club.

Newtown, I still see their jerseys around.

Neither though is stronger now.
The Jets are mainly marketing.
Norths are just a reserve grade team and a little more. ..

Wests and Balmain, would probably have been worse off for very different reasons.

Balmain was in serious financial troubles. They couldn't even sustain the joint venture contributions. Fans are strong, and loyal... but the football team would have been bankrupt.

Western Suburbs Magpies. Why you would have seen Tommy coach the side for a few years. Some players make first grade elsewhere and the clubs trickle in small donations to keep the team afloat.

Nothing to cheer about at all.

So the EOI has been out for a while so the selection process must be in full swing by now. Any news on when the board are considering the shortlist?

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CEO … WITH TIGERS BOSS SHANE RICHARDSON

My first job was working at an abattoir. I worked in abattoirs every year from age 13 onward on my holidays, until I was 17.

Greatest personal sporting achievement?

Best boy rider at the Kilcoy Show in 1965. It involved everything — drum racing, dressage. I was only nine years old.

Sporting team you supported as a kid?

Fortitude Valley in the Brisbane competition. I can still sing the song and name the 1972 team. I was a big fan of Marty Scanlan, who was the five-eighth.

Who was your sporting hero?

My uncle Ross Richardson. He played rugby league for Wide Bay and Beaudesert and got me involved in the sport. He was also the president at Beaudesert and got me excited about administration as well. I made my debut in first grade with him at Beaudesert.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I wanted to be a lawyer. I got into law at Queensland Uni and then after the first six months I thought this was not for me. I transferred to Commerce. The rest is history.

Most famous person on your phone?

Anthony from The Wiggles. He is a made Tigers fan and good bloke. I love his motto in life. One word — fun!

What’s at the top of your 2025 wish list?

The top eight is the goal.

??????????

Is this the way it's going?

Wiggles, Anthony Field?

Weird he'd mention that.

Couldn't imagine Shane watching the Wiggles for fun.

Benny's consortium would be disappointed.

Nope... What do you mean?
It means he’s paranoid.
They asked ‘famous’ person.
He could have answered with countless rugby league legends… but the Blue Wiggle is known by 100’s of millions of people.
That’s real fame.
MM’s problem is he originally followed Balmain.
