I hate to keep ripping on the guy. I don’t wanna be like FTB who constantly ripped on Warner for years. But what justifiable reason has Marnus had for having a place in the side for at least the last 12 months?

Reshaw has only just started opening again in shield. Did score a ton recently though.
Fair dinkum any park cricketer hits a couple of hundreds in a row and they could get a call up.

I've never understood why Renshaw was dropped all those years ago. He was just a kid and scored 160. He was treated very harshly.

Again, it’s 20/20. There is so much focus on that format. IPL, BBL etc, Test cricket is no longer the pinnacle to the players. And why would it be when they get millions and millions for the short form game? You wonder why we can’t find any batsmen, that’s why.
Agree ,we need to stop going back to batsmen that have been selected and dropped on numerous occasions
This includes Renshaw ,Harris ,Bancroft
Only way forward is new talent
We must find our version of Jaiswal

McSweeney a cautionary tale for throwing guys who aren't up to it in. Absolutely thrown to the wolves.
Khawaja, Smith, Head, Marsh and Green (when fit) are the best bats in the country still. Big question marks over Marnus though, he looks shot.
If someone scores a couple of hundreds in december in state cricket, whether it be Marsh, Shield or Big Bash they may well get themselves Marnus' spot come Jan.

Marnus seems to have zero confidence in his ability these days.A complete break from the game could be the best thing for him,(including T20 rubbish)no cricket bat or ball for 2 months.In some ways he reminds me of a golfer who has the "yips".Go fishing and try again at the end of January
After this humiliation ,We have to win the series and so I can't agree certain players deserve more chances and let's reassess after 3 tests
Take no action and the series is gone
IMO -Must drop Marnus as he is actually clueless in facing India to go with 9 out of 10 innings below 10 .
IMO - Smith has a serious technical flaw of jumping to off stump and missing the off cutter .So his chance to save his career is the 2nd innings today and if being generous perhaps the Adelaide Pink ball test
I expect our 2 paternity leave new fathers ( congrats by the way ) Head and Marsh to use the next 2 weeks to train and practise hard .In the field they looked a little unfit to me .
So I'm signalling one or maybe 2 changes for Adelaide

For me its either Konstas or Inglis to partner Uzzie as both have multiple big scores in Shield this year

Fair enough. If Konstas can put together a couple of big scores I am all for it. But looking at his recent run of scores, we would be setting him up to fail against Bumrah and co against the pink ball:
